i think paul does great in either setting. i think he should write by himself, but record & tour with a band (hey! how about "his only friends"?).
paul is a rock & roller. rock & rollers do better in band settings with drums, bass, and loads of noise. his songs, their sonic devestation.

So now that he's on the road across this great country, are there any documented moments of hilarity when DJs or interviewers try to say "Folker" in their various accents w/o almost swearing? as was supposedly the intent? ha ha... get out of my brain! i was just thinking about how craig ferguson said "folker" very carefully in his scottish (scottish, right?) brogue. "folker" in his dialect sounds A LOT like "fooker" which obviously sounds like an insult a soccer hooligan would hurl at you.

so ... next up, Letterman? or "Good Morning, Memphis"? i vote letterman. with no involvement from paul schafer.

i worked at a movie theater when tank girl came out (was in college), so i saw bits & pieces of it over & over & over. after therapy, i was fine.
actually, from what i remember, i think i kind of enjoyed it...
"let's do it" fuckin rocks the dock.

on beerforbreakfast site, someone has said that they asked him when he would be back in UK and he said not for a couple of years. Call me pessimistic but I take that to mean NEVER! damn! that is pessimistic! i take it as he is working on a soundtrack for the next couple of months or so, probably has another album to make before he can think about touring.... a couple of years until the next possibility of a european show... i don't know. maybe i am being too optimistic.

Sorry Brad, I AM the loser. Actually, I am mistaken, Slipknot is listed as playing on Conan that night on March 1, not Late, Late. However, Late, Late lists Missy Elliot, Judith Owens (?) and Don Rickels on March 1. Maybe the three of them can kick out "Merry Go Round." *veeerp*

For whatever it's worth; yahoos' online tv guide has Slipknot listed as perfoming on March 1st, not Paul. Maybe they will play "Unsatisfied". i just threw up a bit in my mouth.

What is Hold Me in Suspension? it's from the "early tapes" or whatever you call it. paul demo-ing on his own back in the early early 80s. a lot of the disc is false starts, and just dinking around, but there are flashes of brilliance that largely were never fleshed out. as for, "little bitch", i say bring it! also, i would like to hear that "raindrops" song referenced in the 14 songs book edition. bring it bring it bring it!
