Pine Box - Needs 3 minutes and 57 seconds more to make it Paul's only 10 minute song. ha! to my ears, "pine box" needs about 3 or 4 minutes lopped off. a 2 - 3 minute rocker would've been perfect. then again, i like the idea of a 10 minute song for paul. maybe a song like "23 years ago"...

i have heard a rumor from someone who i trust that paul has been recording (or has recorded) a bunch of stuff at kevin bowe's home studio with his only friends.
for what it is worth.

i used to have the static taxi release "stinson boulevard" some years back. i remember sort of hating it. i THINK i still have a song or two on a mixtape or something.
i saw bob perform with the magnolias in the early 90s, and that was super duper awesome.

the follow up to Village Gorilla Head? i hope so. but i think what paulie is subtly hoping for is what we all secretly pine for... and maybe this time the rumors are true... the tommy stinson/alicia keys album.

some music rag recently put a free cd in it called "radio bob" that was a sampler of the music he plays on his show. i absolutely adore it. it has detroit cobras, richard & linda thompson, old blues, some hank williams sr., etc. very listenable.

No, there has never been a better song than "Nevermind", but be careful, scooteR may want to take a poll. that is a distinct possibility. (i forking love that song. is it the best one ever? i don't know or care. i just know that i forking love it.)

Real bad name. The Renegades screams of guys with bandanas tied around their legs, wearing ripped jeans, singing really bad metal. "The jig is up, the news is out, they finally found me...." oh. my. god. no.

"the renegades" is a retarded name for a band; fictional or otherwise.

Eh...don't hate it, but never liked it. Feels like Paul trying too hard. This quote really got my attention because I'm one of those people who occasionally wishes Paul would try a little harder. Some of his songs seem like sketches that could have been a really great painting, you know? Anyway, I love this song, and the "video" for it is one of my favorite moments on the Come Feel Me Tremble DVD. smorg, you magnificent bastard! i salute you! i agree with everything you just said.

a related question is who here was the first to use the term "wadfan" in the open for all to see?
i'm thinking it might have been me.
