The main difference between the two bands was that the Huskers invested their royalties in having someone come up with the coolest logo.
The Mats obviously drank that part of the record company advance ...

I, personally, prefer The Replacements "Let It Be" era logo to the Huskers.

I, personally, prefer The Replacements "Let It Be" era logo to the Huskers. macgyver, I'm with you and do think the Let it Be font is cool. Where I think Husker Du win out is that their logo stood out almost as art in itself, rather than just a great typeface/font. I always thought the huskers t-shirt/merchandise was cooler as a "brand" because they stuck with the same logo - imo - it's up there with the Ramones and Motorhead as a classic rock and roll image.
