No, but I remember the girl in the black tank top near you who was kind of spazzing. A bunch of folks didn't seem too happy with the Tube Top troupe, though many of them were decidedly female, myself included. Wouldn't be a rock show without some cattiness in the crowd. Though I was more upset cause she kept sort of stepping on me. i think that's who i meant. it said the bit about "alcoholics serving alcoholics" on the back of the tank top. man, she was getting pissed about those groupies!

No, but I was right next to them, up in front. The midgetish one in the black shirt dress. A bit frightening of a place to be in as well. Did you see Joe (from ACS)pour that glass of Jack D out in front of Tube Top girl #1? Yeah, that went all over my bag on the floor. She was damn near groping Tommy in between sets. I mean, Jesus, wasn't both his DAUGHTER and MOTHER there? Have some class... I'm still wondering who the woman was that he was dancing with to the "Back Together" ACS song... And f*ck the guy who hit Tommy in the eye with a piece of ice... oh yeah, what were you guys wearing? well, not sure about his daughter, but his mom sure was. did you catch the woman next to me? i didn't know her, but she had the "alcoholics serving alcoholics" tee shirt.... i lit her cig once or twice, but man she was complaining about the tube top troupe. i almost thought she was gonna take a swing at one of them.

faith, touble, we really MUST do a better job with our coordination. i was there sunday, and i know i saw trouble, but only after he described what he was wearing.
what were you wearing, faith? and before trouble can ask, were you one of the "tube top girls" up front?

In order for Vagrant to promote Folker well, I would think they would need Paul to step outta the basement some. I look at how Tommy's promoting VGH and wow, seems like the guy is Everywhere-radio, tv, newspapers, live shows. I wonder how he's doing in sales vs. previous records? Anyone here going to the Uptown in Mpls Sat or Sun to see T.S.? i'll be there one of the days for sure. more than likely the sunday show.

whats your favorite tune scooter off of Folker? there are a lot of good songs on the album: my dad, heaven, as far as i know, folk star, etc., but gun shy gets my nod as the best.

peter, two things:
1. you have or you haven't listened to tommy's solo album? i can't get a read on you. i have discussed this album at length elsewhere on this board, so i will not rehash my review(s) of it.
i think it has some dead spots, but mostly good songs (save for one or two). the high points are REALLY REALLY OBSCENELY high points. i am thinking specifically of without a view, and someday.
2. i know 25 or 6 to 4 is a drug song, but i don't get the numbers reference. what gives?

Just offering my opinion. F*cking off in progress.. well, "peter", perhaps i was a bit harsh. i think your opinion was simply an attempt to poke the hive, stir the shit, whatever you like to call it. how about explaining your perspective instead of calling an album you had to know some of us would like a lot a "piece of shit". anyway, no harm done. i loved "stay the night", and that song from karate kid.

this album is utterly forgettable. ie., its a complete POS. i know this isn't kosher to say, but you can fuck right off.

i'm one of the "2 of 9" who found it helpful!
if you'll notice, "7 out of 7" found my review helpful. see, people appreciate honesty. that is all for now, from the straight talk express.
my name is howard dean, and i'm running for president!

the acoustic versions of crackle on the cd & dvd fall a little short of the live versions i heard last summer. great song! i was TOTALLY floored by the rip roaring version of the song on the cd.
that one is my favorite.

The 'reviewer' (I use that term lightly) isn't saying Paul live in Mpls - he's saying that no one ever forced Paul to move out of Mpls to the suburbs,if he was forced to move there, it would at least explain why he's complaining about. But it's still a crappy piece of 'journalism'. k. i don't want to get into a whole thing here, but i can relate to paul on this one point. no one FORCED me to move to the suburbs either, but i still pine for the city & bitch about the place i live. anyone who says i don't have the right to complain since no one forced me to move to beigetown, can piss off. i had my reasons, and i'll bet that they are fairly similar to paul's.

outfuckingstanding. there is shit in here i haven't heard before (or at least do not recognize by name), and stuff i already have that isn't included. this is all very good news.
i, for one, am really looking forward to the ptmm & tim reissues as well.

i can't vote any of the above options, because none are accurate in my opinion.
bob didn't "make" the band, but he was important.
he certainly wasn't "wack".
there certainly IS a difference between "the two replacements"
one isn't "better" than the other.
the part about steve foley was good for a laugh, but that's about it.
i think the replacements were a hungrier, edgier band with mars & stinson. stinson both held the band back emotionally, and gave it the messy kick in the ass it needed at the time. without bob, the band got more focused, but not necessarily "better" & not really more "successful" either. ptmm & asd are definitely "solid" albums full of GREAT music, but by being more "solid" they are neccessarily less "unhinged". this is a double-edged sword. basically the replacements happened the way they were supposed to happen, and we got a great show, and transcendent music. i am just glad to be aware of the circus, and to have let it influence my life.
