I have yet to see anything posted on the Vagrant Website regarding the release of Folker...how ought or ought not they push Paul's latest and allegedly greatest?

Well, all the latest indie mags have full page ads with a picture of Westerberg in a "Wild Thing" t-shirt.
That, I guess, is a start.
How would you promote a record that the artist himself does not want to promote?

In order for Vagrant to promote Folker well, I would think they would need Paul to step outta the basement some. I look at how Tommy's promoting VGH and wow, seems like the guy is Everywhere-radio, tv, newspapers, live shows. I wonder how he's doing in sales vs. previous records? Anyone here going to the Uptown in Mpls Sat or Sun to see T.S.?

I will be at both shows, God willing. *knocks on wood*
Maybe I'll have the pleasure of meeting the illustrious and enigmatic Scooter.....

That's good, right?

I get the feeling he thinks his fan base is as big as it's gonna get, so why blow all that money on promotion when it isn't going to pick up any more fans. Look what happened to Bob Mould when he was signed to Virgin.

faith, touble, we really MUST do a better job with our coordination. i was there sunday, and i know i saw trouble, but only after he described what he was wearing.
what were you wearing, faith? and before trouble can ask, were you one of the "tube top girls" up front?

No, but I was right next to them, up in front. The midgetish one in the black shirt dress. A bit frightening of a place to be in as well. Did you see Joe (from ACS)pour that glass of Jack D out in front of Tube Top girl #1? Yeah, that went all over my bag on the floor. She was damn near groping Tommy in between sets. I mean, Jesus, wasn't both his DAUGHTER and MOTHER there? Have some class...
I'm still wondering who the woman was that he was dancing with to the "Back Together" ACS song...
And f*ck the guy who hit Tommy in the eye with a piece of ice...
oh yeah, what were you guys wearing?

No, but I remember the girl in the black tank top near you who was kind of spazzing. A bunch of folks didn't seem too happy with the Tube Top troupe, though many of them were decidedly female, myself included. Wouldn't be a rock show without some cattiness in the crowd. Though I was more upset cause she kept sort of stepping on me.
There was a fairly young girl who was in one of the reserved boothes that Tommy was talking with after the show. I assumed it was his daughter, though it could've been a different relative. Or I need my eyesight checked. That's why I didn't go up and try to talk to him after the show. To interrupt family time seems pretty rude.
