that's eyes like TWO hubcaps ... a neat pair, not a whole pile that just got dumped there thanks for the correction, and i maintain my point.

All right, I'll play. Every line of Time Flies Tomorrow. i will contend here & now that there is no way the line "eyes like hubcabs at the bottom of a river" is a cliche. carry on.

what's funny is that i used to think that the "uk pop star" was "gay pop star" for a long time.
i thought that was a little out of character for paul...

"Nobody" qualifies ... and is oddly appropriate here in MWT land, lates i'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but i have absolutely adored this line in that song: "you like the frosting, you just bought the cake..."

"As dreams make way for plans See ya watch life from the stands Come on I'll help you burn 'em to the ground"
always loved these lines. god, that song is fantastic. anyone want to take a stab at just what he means when he says "runaway wind"?
i have my opinion, but i'll reserve it until later.

i just bought the book. it has some pages with words on them. and a hard cover. at first glance, no pictures. Jodi should have mentioned the lack of pictures in her review. It could saved a lot of disappointment. everybodyeverybodyeverybodyeverybodyeverybodyeverybodyeverybodyeverybody... i... want my money back.

"Reportedly"? Is there some question, like maybe it was a Tommy impersonator up there on Monday night? or....maybe it was all staged. A faux-PW as well. This is Hollywood, folks. The same people who staged the moon landing and faked the feel-good 1970's. wait. i felt pretty good in the 70s. then again, i maxed out at 7 years old in the 70s....

you mentioned the photos, so you get my comment... how about how much paul looks like MICK JAGGER in the upper right photo on the inner sleeve. it's uncanny!

Id give PTMM a 5. 5 to Tim although the sound quality on Tim makes fingernails against a chalkboard sound good. i'd like to.... but i "shooting dirty pool" is a stupid fun song... but a stupid song just the same. "nightclub jitters" is good, but not 5 stars good. i can overlook the sound of tinny sound of tim because the album is nearly perfect... aw shit! "dose of thunder".

i think 3 out of 5 is a pretty fair assessment. it is good, but truly, he IS capable of better. i've heard it. truth be told, though, neither the mats nor paul has ever hit 5 stars. too much self-destruction in the mix to allow that to happen.
the talent is there, but the psychosis is too.

oh god, i hate "hidden tracks". speaking of which, i have a request of my fellow boardpeople:
does anyone have software to (or can tell me how to) separate a "hidden track" from the, er host track? i would like to get postcards from paradise off the back of call that gone.

i think it might be kind of a first come-first served site for volunteer record reviewers. He got the opening line of How Can You Like Him wrong. I guess I'm sorry even if it wasn't already posted. he got a lot of things wrong, and made some pretty grand inferences as well. zbone, how you let me down.
