Two questions:
1. What are all the things he's had it with, sung by background vocals at the end of all the repeated "You've had it with yer" lines?
2. Are U.K. pop stars known for fading especially fast, or did he have someone specific in mind?

Cut and pasted from the lyrics page: You've Had it With You I had it with the friend who uses me To open doors like I was a skeleton key I had it with everyone, had it with anyone I ever knew You've had it with you You need someone to fall in love, need someone to fall in love Any anyone will do You've had it with you Like Catherine the Great underneath a big horse Your sexual preference is me of course I get away with murder and I promise not to hurt her If I have to shoot <repeat> Had it with you Had it with your shoes.. Had it with you baby and your star-cheap car I'm fading faster than a UK pop star I've had it with everyone, everyone I ever knew well I do <repeat > [You had it with your neighbors, had it with your clothes You had it with your records, You had it with your friend, had it with your shoes, You had it, goddammit! You've had it with you! And you've had it with me too...

what's funny is that i used to think that the "uk pop star" was "gay pop star" for a long time.
i thought that was a little out of character for paul...

I always thought the lyric goes like this:
"Like Catherine the Great underneath the big horse, The sexual reference is to me of course."
You know, so we think the singer's hung like a, well, horse.

I always thought the same thing, sharky. I pictures him winking when singing it like the great smart ass he is.

I always thought the lyric goes like this: "Like Catherine the Great underneath the big horse, The sexual reference is to me of course." Oh my god. Worse lyrics than "eyes like two hubcaps"! I may have to start 15 Reasons to Not Like "Eventually"....
