Man, no Paul!
Good song, but it sounds really modern and pretty mainstream...but I still like it.

Wow, Rome said he's "pissed" Paul went "rock star" and didn't call in when he said he would.
Tommy was punctual and professional as always. He knows how to play the game and wants to succeed. As for Paul, can't say we should be surprised.
Only fitting, I guess...what a golden opportunity that would have been to have Paul & Tommy on the line together talking about things.
Whether you like him or not, Rome has done more than his fair share for trying to bring attention to the Mats & Paul solo. He should feel rightfully pissed after having promoted it all week.
I guess Rock N Roll is never on time. But Paul also cost the loyal fans a chance to hear him and Tommy together discussing the past, present, and future of the band.
Still shooting himself in the foot after all these years....

tommy hates talking about the mats it seems. It seemed like he just woke up, I guess 1pm is a little early for a rocker

it sure seemed that way. "Let's get to the Lakers". And he seemed to be a lot more impressed to hook up with Chris than he was with Paul? Maybe I just read into it?

Yeah, I'm really bummed out that those two didn't get to be on air at the same time. I wonder if he had an anxiety attack or something?

I did think it was pretty funny how Tommy said he was STILL trying to catch up on his sleep from the early days...

I liked the two-bar guitar solo.

I liked the two-bar guitar solo. Concise, wasn't it.

the riff & melody remind me of "Waiting For Somebody" a bit A lot. I like it better than I thought I would after hearing Rhino's clip. (Sort of OT, but we just broke our 'most users online' record.)

Funny, he's getting more comments and notice for stiffing the guy, as compared to showing up. At least Rome gets the no-show. He'd probably chuckle had it happened to a different media guy. Wish he's play the other track too.

I think it's totally apropos [and hilarious] that Westerberg blew it off. How Mats-like. Oh, and I like that song much better after hearing the whole thing.

I won't give him hell for it, but I am disappointed. Maybe he just wasn't feeling well. Granted, I'm not being an apologist for him because I don't know any of the details surrounding the no-show or anything else behind the scenes.
But I think the "opportunity knocks once and the door slams shut" can be taken to too much of an extreme. I dunno....
