I got the exact pic from Tommy at a solo show when he was playing guitar (I've used the same ever since, love the weight). I do remember at the Midway show Tommy had the bright green Dunlap's on his mic stand, which I think are thicker and make more sense when using a pick playing bass. You can see here: photos.twincities.com/2014/09/13/the-replacements/#30Bside, thanks for the info! In my head I recalled seeing the neon green pics on the mic stand......so now I'm interested to figure out what mine is (or if he played). I thought I saw him playing "softer" during set but still with pic....maybe it was one of these.

So I waited around at the end of the show to see if I could snag a set list or anything. There was 1 or 2 given out and the crew was clearing the stage. I believe a 3rd set list was still out and some guy was asking for it center stage row 1......the crew guy wasn't haven't it. I stayed a few minutes more and asked for a pick....one of the crew found one on the ground and gave it to me! Does anyone know if Paul or Tommy use this type of pick? The crew guy said it was a bass pick but it seems too flimsy. If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate it.

I'm in the 3rd pic of the story, my face is cut off on the left though. I was talking to a guy who flew in from CA for the show. He was just in MN last week. I was about 4-5 people deep from rail and there was quite a bit of pushing. A pit started which I enjoyed for awhile but one guy was a total a$$hole....one kid bumped into him and he TOTALLY pushed the kid down hard, someone helped pick him up. I mean, don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of moshing either but don't be an a-hole!
Crowd was fun, a great mix of ages. Very much a sing-a-long. "Left Of The Dial" almost had me in tears.....and to hear "Valentine", that just capped my night off. Can't wait for Austin!

Looking at tickets on Stubhub.....trying to see what they get down to.
First saw these guys in 1989 at the Beacon for DTAS tour. Saw them on ASD tour. Saw Paul solo a few times. Saw them at RiotFest in Chicago and going to Austin in a few weeks. Keep me in the loop on where the meet ups are. I'll most likely be there.

What issue is this? Is it the one with Robin Williams on the cover?

I am heading down! First time there and I'm looking forward to it.
Does anyone have any recommendations on hotels? Going with friend who has booked 3 but he can release 2 at last minute with no penalty....
Any advice is appreciated.

I made it through 5 pages. Frustrated by the slow transitions and alarmed at how much Taylor Dayne looked like David Lee Roth, I had to bail. Sorry it was link 19 of 52. Answering Machines "Texting and email have rendered voicemail pretty much redundant, and pushed cassette tape-based answering machines even deeper to the bottom of history's dustbin. The best that can be said about them is that answering machines inspired an awesome Replacements song." And it true 'Mats fashion when I clicked the hyperlink it said "This video is unavailable."
