Awesome interview, and the song Hurricane J is one of my favorites off of the new album.

That version of "Things". Holy hell. Masterpiece. For some reason, the song "Weeds" by You Am I (those Aussies) has always reminded me a bit of "Things" Awesome song. I should check out more of this band. Whats a good starting point?

I feel like I spin Besterberg the most, I know that doesn't count. Come Feel Me Tremble, but Stereo and Mono define summers for me.

Don't forget an airplane ride for lunch. Not the most edible, but maybe the waitress in the sky served them something after the cigarettes for breakfast.

Interesting. That song "Girlfriend" is apparently a Slim Dunlap song. I like it, I'll have to check out more of his stuff.

Saw "Shutter Island" last night. Leo mentions doing his "god damn job".

It's crazy how some of the best songs were left off, as seen on Besterberg. I think "Ain't Got Me" is the peak, but I enjoy the album through.

I always felt that it kind of sums up the Replacements, especially on such on iconic song, but maybe my mind was just filling in the gaps.

Never liked Dirty Diesel, and I love CFMT. I always skip it, partially to get to Making Me Go, a far superior track.

Speaking of Episcopals and Paul Westerberg, I do some video editing for my church and edited a highlight reel of this years VBS set to "Seen Your Video" by the Replacements. I played it for the congregation and got a pretty big kick of the Replacements being played in our hundred year old sanctuary. I'd like to think it was the first time. Even let it linger on Paul's voice yelling "Phony rock n roll!" after the picture had blacked out.
