His /Their stuff always sticks in my head so for me, it's always the last one or two I've listened to which, in this case because of hitting the "randon" button on the CD player, is "Kids Won't Follow" with "Ghost on the Canvas" in there as well. Kinda cool actually.

Left Of The Dial
That "Sweet Georgia breezes, safe, cool and warm" gets me ever time.
Is he quoting another song or some literary reference with that line? It sounds so familiar.... and I'm not even from Georgia and have never been there...

IOU, because it's recently become my Replacements song of choice. Just a great rave up with some of Paul's best lyrics.
But also "Darling One". I feel like Paul and Slim paved the way for bands like Lucero on this one and I wish they attempted these kind of sweeping ballads more. I know a lot of people hate this one, but I love the words, Paul's desperation is palpable, and the chorus rouses me every time. The entire DTAS is severely underrated and this might be my favorite moment on it, next to "Talent Show".

I don't know what it is, but I've been playing a "modified" version of "Crackle and Drag" and dammit I just LOVE this song...I play it in a kind of a hybrid of the electric and acoustic versions from the Tremble disc...it just sticks to me like flypaper..."Valentine" is another and though its a cover, but "Gudbuy T'Jane" fucking rocks...

More than the Cat.
Being married a long time makes this one ring true on occasion... I just substitute dog for cat.

The past couple of mornings, it's been 'Love Untold' running through my head. Kinda weird considering it's not one of my favorite Paul tunes...

Love You in the Fall. Beautiful weather today where I am at and that song always pops in my head on a nice fall day.
