Not sure if this was posted, but this R Albert on Youtube has some other videos from this show that are great.

Video interviews? I don't think there's been ANY interviews of any kind since Toronto.

Yeah I remember before Toronto the band said they wouldn't be doing any press. Probably less of a stress for them. And they can just concentrate on the music rather than answering the same questions over and over. I'd love to see an interview too, but if not doing interviews works for them, thats fine by me.

I believe the quote was from Tommy in an interview about the Songs for Slim series. He mentioned he and Paul decided to "let the guitars do the yapping"

I completely agree with what was said above about how great of a show this was and how good the crowd was. Shaky Knees was probably the perfect size show to be a fan at - big enough to get a good crowd, but small enough that you had a reasonable chance of being up front if you gave it the effort. Kudos to the organizers for putting on a great festival for their first time at this new location. I got up to the second row on my own power, and was fortunate enough to meet some nice folks who squeezed me in up on the rail for the best view I've ever had of the Replacements and an opportunity to get some great pictures. A few of my favorites are below. (By the way, the smoke machine really messed with the lighting - if there are any professional photographers here who have tips on how to deal with smoke/fog at concerts, please share!) The first one reminds me of Goodfellas or Sopranos. The second one is pretty sharp image of Paul. Pretty cool that he's got a "W" cufflink, but now I'll always wonder if the one on his left wrist was also a "W" or if it was a "P" :-)

Here are a few more good ones I got from the front row (Lisa, if you're here, thanks again!)

Awesome pics!
But yeah, I was a little bummed not to see them give any interviews. I'd love to know what their thoughts were on the very first shows, were they nervous, etc...
maybe in the winter, when the festivals are over, they will shed some light on everything. and i'm hoping by then they will have a new CD or DVD of the reunion gigs to release and that will get them talking to the media?

A DVD with highlights from the reunion shows and interviews would be awesome...Also, can you imagine the hilarious audio commentary track Paul and Tommy could provide?

I'd love to hear commentary by Ron Regal and Elrod Puce!

it's fun and all to see them play the old records but i have learned a lot listening to paul and tommy actually speak about what they do. i could get my jollies simply thru interviews. i got to see slim at the turf club back around 99 and his band was fantastic. good roots stuff.
