Is the first tune in 3 O Clock Kreep a cover? I dig it, whatever it is. Do we think the Westerberg/ Stinson/ Waits session is resent? Didn't Waits drop in on a session during all shook down? Maybe I've lost my mind and I'm making stuff up... First tune - "Tell em All to Go to Hell'.. Sounds orginal to me..Sorta an extension of the pissed-off mood established by "5:05".. But the next song, "It's Ridiculous(Everyone Wants to be Famous)'...is another winner. (I'm just guessing at these titles) I agree with other posts that the jam session could well be outtakes from the Matt Wallace/Waits sessions of 1988.. ("Date to Church") CF

i'm really enjoying "finally here once," it is very listenable, the best chorus i've ever heard in a long time, i'm not kidding!!! diddn't get the chance to purchase 3 o'clock yet though. but i'm sure it is very cool.

and call me crazy, but looks like pauls dropped some weight in that image as well, must've been all that hockey over the winter... I kinda thought it was an older photo as most of the music seems to be from the Mats days... Wait, is that a cellphone in the bottom of the picture? Maybe not that old after all.. I think it's a lighter, not a cell phone

i love the irony of the 49.0 controversy being followed up by a recording of Paul AS THE REPLACEMENTS with TOM WAITS. if that doesn't violate some contract somewhere i would be very surprised.
awesome.

WHAT!?! Another release? I don't know if I can handle all this! Oh, okay - yeah, I guess I can. Can't wait to get home! Hopefully I'll snag it before it's pulled off for some copyright infringement or whatnot.

so did anyone else notice that the mp3s tag for the album/song name differ from the cover art? The cover art says 3oclockreep, whereas the tags say 3oclockkreep with 2 k's. I think the first spelling makes more sense, keeping with paul's tendency to use the end of a previous thought to start a new one (i know there was a thread I glanced at about doing just that). What do people think the proper spelling should be?

I am going to make a guess and say that about 8:29 into 3oclockreep is an outtake from the Suicane Gratification recordings. The guitar tone is alot like :Best Thing That Never Happened"

I think it's a lighter, not a cell phone Lighter makes sense, especially as Paul has shown an aversion to cellphones. Plus, the photo looks old; probably taken before the advent of the cellphone even.

Paul has shown an aversion to cellphones. You put yer cell phone in my ear, go out & download my music sometime. & I might tell someone about it...maybe.

I listened to Finally Here Once and then had to get in the car to run an errand. Then into my head popped "This time may be the last time, that we will fight like this". Anybody else hear the similarity to that INXS song.

I think it's a lighter, not a cell phone Lighter makes sense, especially as Paul has shown an aversion to cellphones. Plus, the photo looks old; probably taken before the advent of the cellphone even. I'm pretty sure that's an Elvis lighter.

I like this new Paul-Has-Lost-His-Mind phase of his career.
For 3oclockreep, the "composer" listed on my mp3 file is Paul Westerberg, Tom Waits.
I assume Tom Waits had to approve this release? And Rhino/Ryko too (because they own the rights to the Mats' stuff)?
Anyhow, download it while you can.

So are Mick & Keith (or Andrew Loog Oldham, or ABCKO, or Allen Klein, or whoever owns the Stones' songs) going to sue because of the few seconds of "Play With Fire" on 3oclockreep?
Andrew Loog Oldham sued (and won!) against the Verve for the whole "Bittersweet Symphony" thing.
