More new music from Paul available now*! www.tunecore.com/store/product/49Two new tracks are up: "3oclockreep" and "Finally Here Once" and it's $3.99 to download both tracks. If for some nutty ass reason, you only want to buy one of the tracks, you can get "3oclockreep" for $3.00 (it's 20 minutes long) or "Finally Here Once" (3:27 minutes) for $0.99. Extra Paul-ish art: *(unless you are at work like me <sob> and have to wait until you get home to download and listen)

Tommy Stinson and Paul trying to start "If Only You Were Lonely" segues into Tom Waits apparently joining them for "We Know The Night." I am not kidding.
This starts at about 10 minutes into "3 o'clock." The other song is a nice mid-tempo pop song.
Very enjoyable.

So much for my guess on who the "special appearance" was by - I was sure it was going to Michael Bland providing some kick-ass drumming!

that hilarious so it's a jam session of sorts??? Yes, it appears they are just hanging out trying to start songs. Tom Waits sings one after "We know the night." Pretty damn entertaining. On second listen, I really like "Finally Here Once." Another great song from Paul.

and call me crazy, but looks like pauls dropped some weight in that image as well, must've been all that hockey over the winter... I kinda thought it was an older photo as most of the music seems to be from the Mats days... Wait, is that a cellphone in the bottom of the picture? Maybe not that old after all. The Tom Waits stuff was most likely from the same sessions that produced "Date to Church." Sloppy fun, but I think only fans will get much out of this release, unlike 49:00. To me this sounds like something that didn't quite make the cut as an outtake for the upcoming Replacements reissues.

Is the first tune in 3 O Clock Kreep a cover? I dig it, whatever it is.
Do we think the Westerberg/ Stinson/ Waits session is resent? Didn't Waits drop in on a session during all shook down? Maybe I've lost my mind and I'm making stuff up...

they did 'date to church' back in the early '90's. it must be from then.

Yeah, I was just thinking it would make sense, since Tommy refers to "Matt", that most likely being Matt Wallace.
