No Cruella Deville,NO THANKS!!!
Just kidding! Can't wait to hear this set! Already ordered!
This is one of the biggies that fans have wanted to hear for years.
I'm setting the bar low, that the new mixes will sound like demos, just to set myself up to be pleasantly surprised or blown away.

What genres has PW covered as a songwriter? I'd say a handful, but he makes each one his own.

There was interview where PW said he's glad he wrote Unsatisfied when he did because he thought if he wrote it later he may have added too many words and ruined it.

There's a pic I can't find of Westerberg lying on the floor in front of a TV with the rest of the band.I always liked that photo.
Bound For Glory is a nice caption!

It can be mind numbing when someone misses the point of something, but if someone thinks Romeo and Juliet is a comedy, who am I to tell them it aint.

Always heard it as natural comb.Natural combs are combs made from wood or sheep horn or ox horn.
I always thought natural comb sounded like a hair product that a greaser would use.

I connected immediately with the band. They seemed real.
I liked their humor and their flippant attitude towards professionalism.
I loved their albums, all of them. Great music for people who feel like outsiders.

I feel that waiting for new music makes us speculate more about what we wish PW would do next, that's what fans do right? It's easy to take for granted what an artist has done and have a "What have you done for me lately?" attitude.
I thought I'd change it up and ask,What do the Replacements and/or their post mats music mean to you?
Any takers care to put it into words?

I heard the song Watching The Wheels by John Lennon and thought about this thread.Seemed like a fitting response from PW's point of view.Just enjoying normal everyday life.

Well it's kind of like John Lennon going from the Beatles to Plastic Ono Band. Someone asked John about the music being so stripped down and John was like "I still hear all of that other stuff in the songs". Like the production was just something added to the songs, but it wasn't the song, and he was fine with that.
I think PW makes creative recording choices. You can hear a lot of subtle stuff in there like a tremolo guitar sound that is perfectly placed, but at times he'll let some things slip through that kind of take away from the tune.
Just having horns like on Pleased To Meet Me or Mannequin Shop or Trumpet Clip or Ain't Done Much.Just something like that.
