The 5 live songs on "Inconcerated" were recorded at the Univ of Wisconsin, Milwaukee - and the CD was copyrighted in 1989. (It was a promo for "Don't Tell A Soul.") The disc itself has been printed with a radio station logo: "The Rock & Roll Original WAPL FM106." "inconcerated"! that's right. oh, and for the record, WAPL is an appleton, wi radio station. about 2 hours from milwaukee. blasty?

I'd love to see the look on the face of a casual patron of the Rave as he wanders in to hear the "endlessly pleasant" drumming of Big Mike while Paul bleeds from the head with his pants down. maybe the greatest sentence ever. i bow to thee!

Wrong scooter. Milwaukee is on "the west side of Lake Michigan" Therefore it is on "the east coast of Wisconsin" i stand corrected!

I love GunShy too and I think it would KILL live. honestly, there IS something weird about him NOT playing gun shy. there must be a reason... because it is SCREAMING to be played in concert. memphis, maybe?

And stacked above it, he's duct taped something else out to make it say NO (sorry I don't know equipment or the technical terms so I don't know what brand it could have been) could be a VOX head? and he messed with the V to make it a N?

I had a very cool opportunity to meet Kevin Bowe before the show, in a tiny bar across the street from the theatre. He told me that the band had learned a "sh*tload" of songs. Still, it was quite a nice surprise mid-show when the guys broke into the Rolling Stone's Star Star. goddammit! someone post a setlist! they played "starfucker" now?! jesus, what a night!

I, for one, was never fooled; not for an instant. In the first place I think there would be more than two weeks notice for a real 'Mats' show; second, we'd probably have at least ten different threads with subject lines that read: 'OH MY GOD!' and 'SWEET f*ckIN' A-REPLACEMENTS REUNION!!!!': third, I think Scoots would have mustered more than a link. Not to mention I don't think they'd play the 400 club. (of course I did click the link..shhhh.) i certainly didn't apply myself. i wasn't feeling it.
