I'm gonna gas up the minivan and take it to Milwaukee on Thursday, Apr. 14th for the Paul show. I have room for 6, and 1 for sure going with, so I'm looking for up to 4 more people that wanna ride from Mpls/St. Paul to Milwaukee. I have a reservation at the Executive Inn close to the venue for Thursday night, it's $80 a night for 2. www.execinn.com/The plan is to leave Thursday morning, say 9ish or so from a location that works best for everyone (I am on the east side of St. Paul)...and return on Friday. You will have to be responsible for your own ticket and hotel res...and I just ask for a equal split on gas funds. And not to be an old stick-in-the-mud, but I'm gonna stick to 21 and over for this. sorry. Any interest, questions, whatever...drop me a line...on AIM it's wolfdog981, or email to wolfdog98@gmail.com. It will be a blast!

Anyone have any good lines I could feed my then-to-be bride of one week on why I must desperately see PW again after the entire Pantages weekend last NOV? Suggestions welcomed!!! If I can pull it off, I've got SHOTGUN!

If I can pull it off, I've got SHOTGUN! You have to bring up how long it has been since he last toured with a band and you may have to wait that long to see it again, so you want to get in all the shows you can. Or say it may never happen again just to convince but keep your fingers crossed behind your back as to not jinx us. Oh oh and bring up the fact that the Pantages shows were seated theatres and the crowd gets into it more at these GA gigs so you want to see it as the full rockin show it is.

Believe it or not, I actually pulled that excuse to convince her I ABSOLUTELY HAD to see ALL three Pantages gigs (plus the add-in that Paul never plays the same setlist) last fall. She tagged along on Sat. night and literally fell asleep!!! NO LIE!!! Why do I feel like I've been neutered?

She tagged along on Sat. night and literally fell asleep!!! NO LIE!!! See, thats because it was seated. That and the fact that she from the fifth dimension of hell where you are immune to rocking out to the amazing songs of Paul Westerberg backed by the best drummer alive. haha. Lay down the law, you need to see the show in a non seated venue and this is your chance!

Ok, some clarification for those confirmed and those of you still on the fence (get off the fence! get in the van!):
Wolfdog's Road Trip Rules:
1. Driver can break any of the following rules as I/he sees fit.
2. Jodi did call shotgun first. But with great power, comes great responsibility....
3. 'Shotgun' is the on the road DJ, assistant navigator, and settler of all in route disputes.
4. Driver has authority to veto any DJ song selections.
5. All stops are to be held as brief as possible, and hopefully serve more than one purpose...food, gas, bathroom.
6. No sit-down eating, all food to be portable and eaten in the vehicle. Majority vote on meal stop. I just watched 'Super Size Me' so I'm thinking McDonalds is out.
7. Driver is a smoker. I will try to keep the number of smokes in route to a minimum, and always crack the window and blow it out to try to minimize any discomfort to others. Other smokers in the vehicle, I expect to have to same consideration for others.
8. Venue is a block away from Hotel. Once parked at the hotel, I am done driving for the day, and will proceed to put on my s**t-face. Please try to keep me on beer, I'm not good with liquor.
Questions? Comments? lemme know. This is gonna be a blast, I know it.

Probably the best rule. Does this hotel have a bar? Hotel bars are the best people watching. See the most anonymous hook ups!

The hotel's website just says 'on-site restaurant'. But the venue (The Rave) has a multitude of bars. It looks like its huge.

Its one of those places that has multiple rooms. I have a hard time believing that he's going to be in the largest room but I could be wrong. The bar inside is actually pretty cool, at least from what I remember. I know there's quite a few other bars pretty close if I remember correctly. Its in the Marquette area I believe. So college bars but could find some good specials.
