Wasn't this the interview that Paul supposedly stormed off of when the host (long haired guy, I assume) didn't know any of his songs? well, i just watched the interview, and i think there was more to it than what youtube had... not sure if paul had a change of heart later in the interview.... if someone has a link to THAT part of the interview, lay it on us! My understanding was that Paul walked out of an "Unplugged" rehearsal, not "120 Minutes." He went out for cigarettes and never came back, so it goes.

Actually, that guy is a huge Westerberg/Mats fan. It wasn't that he didn't know Paul's songs, it was just that he didn't know what to request when he was put on the spot. Paul did get pissed at the 120 Minutes appearance, but it was during the performance. He played First Glimmer and then whoever was in charge on set said, "Great, now let's take one." Paul got pissed because he had given it his all the first time through and didn't realize they were just rehearsing. They did another take and Paul thought it wasn't as good, but that's the one they used. At the end of the performance, you can see him say, "The first one was better."

Seemed to me that PW didn't know what to do with himself not being the focus on the vocals or even the guitar leads.... sort of wandered around the stage. Tommy clearly enjoyed himself though.

That interview is great!
1. Ironic to see Paul and Tommy commenting on and snickering about Guns and Roses. Who knew then what the future would hold? Paul says he likes 'em , but doesn't buy their ballads. Ha!
2. What's up with Paul's pronunciation of "raucous"? "rawshus"...? Ha! Is that some kind of Minnesota thing?
3.. Tommy looks a hell of lot like Bob Dylan circa 1966. Amazing!
