Well, Paul ended his part of the show about 10 minutes early, by smashing his guitar on an amp! Vintage! Anyone have any insight as to what was perturbing him? I know it must have been a little odd playing to a crowd that wasn't just there to see him (a little quieter than any Paul gig I've seen). I hope the guitar was rented, or depending on the cost....perhaps it's best it wasn't! It was good to meet a couple of you guys by chance. Hope everyone got home safely and had a good time. FREDDY Hey Freddy get us a set list when you can??

I saw a You Am I show on cable when I was in Melbourne and they were very good live. I have a CD of theirs somewhere, but haven't really given it a good listen. They are extreme mats fans. Sounds like a plan to me.

You are exactly right. It is huge group of singers in white robes who are very happy and joyous. The are from Dallas and led by the singer from Tripping Daisy. It is one of those things that some people really love and find amazing; and others run away as fast as possible. I only saw them for about half a song, but that was plenty. I would have to be a much stronger person to endure an entire set. Color me scared.

I'm suprised that it sold out that quickly, though it's the stronger line up of the two nights I guess. Or maybe it's just rabid Polyphonic Spree fans...what the HELL are they any way? I know it's like 20 people in robes but what do they do?? Some kind of alt-Up With People thing?

Kathy seems to think that the shows are available to the public... could someone let us know when tickets go on sale?.. I just made reservations for me and mrs goodo... see you at the bar, A-Reg... fyi, I only think that cause it's what I read in the Louisville paper: "WFPK-FM has announced the concert line-up for this year's NONCommvention, a trade show for noncommercial radio personnel that includes two concerts that are open to the public. " For more info, you can try emailing: noncomm@wfpk.orgk.

Kathy, Could you and BW stop all the naysaying and at least let those of us that plan on attending hold onto hope? My heart is already set! Pretty soon you'll be telling us all that there is no Easter Bunny too! For people who don't want to see the show unless it's going to be with a band, I wanted to let them know there isn't going to be one. If I lived there, I would go either way, but some people appear not to want to see a solo show again. k.

On Saturday, in order: The Ployphonic Spree; Paul Westerberg (with band); Patti Smith Group; and Sonic Youth. The line-up is confirmed, but as always, subject to change, said Dan Reed of the Public Radio Partnership. Tickets are not on sale but will be soon." I wouldn't get my heart set on the "with band" part.... k.
