I'm outta here. I'm pissed, and I'm tired and I have to pack and get ready.
I'm sure tickets will go on sale the minute I hop in the shower.

Boy, this is not cool if you ask me (what's that you say? No one asked me? Too bad!)
-------------------------- From Drive 105 - a Mpls radio station:
PAUL WESTERBERG WEB PRESALE Drive 105 presents Paul Westerberg at The Pantages Friday November 5th. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday at noon, but Drive 105 listeners get a chance to buy tickets early.
Come back to Drive105.com Friday at 6 a.m. for details on how to get your Paul Westerberg tickets before anyone else! -----------------
So it's not enough that you pay whatever the ticket charge is, and whatever TM is gonna molest you for on the service charge, now you need to get up at 6 o-freaking-clock to try for some chance at a pre-sale. I mean jiminy crickets, enough is enough. Yesterday the Karl Mueller show tickets went on sale with some mysterious VIP code that no one had access to and now this. I'm in marketing, people, I understand the need for promotion but you don't screw your best customers over and your best customers for this show are the people who are loyal fans and were already planning to be ready at the appointed on-sale time and now these people have to worry about getting up early for this shit.

Just as an fyi, I will not be around tomorrow and won't online again til Sat. PM. So I'm hoping all goes smoothly with the ticket sales but if any bumps in the road appear and you have questions...I won't have any answers unfortunately. Your best sources for info are the theatre and TM. As of now (Thursday @ noon), the show is still not on the TM site. Grrr.

So what's the deal? You had to have a password to buy VIP tix? That's kinda odd....

People should not have to jump thru hoops for freaking tickets, when we're already paying an unholy amount of money to TM. Sucky move.

He means Sickly Punk Physiques But "Sickly Punk Physics" would be a much better band name.

Nice Squeeze reference, but wouldn't it be Painkillers USA? That's a Squeeze reference? I was thinking Chameleons UK.

ms. kathy, if you have some insider information you could spare me my disappointment, you know? I really do not know who the Painkillers might be...I did ask though. I'm wondering now if Paul will have to change the name of the back-up band since the name is already in use....maybe: Paul Westerberg and The Painkillers UK

The ticket price is nothing compared to the overall price of what this weekend will cost me. The gas to get me to Minneapolis, two nights in a hotel within walking distance of the venue, that great Minneapolis cuisine, a drink or two, and of course the tour of record stores that always occurs when I hit the big city. And I'll be happier than I've been in months that entire weekend. Now there's a man with a good attitude. There's a "cost: Priceless" commercial in here somewhere but I'm too tired to think of it

yeah, but i ain't flying in from nowhere for this. i'm just coming from home. see, you gotta bend your own moral rules as the situation fits. I'd go to both shows even if I lived in Mpls though.

i don't think it's that much at all. but i told myself that if they were more than $25 i wasn't gonna be a greedy pig. i just think if i get to see him one night, that's probably enough and if the show sells out it makes me feel better to think in my little optimisitic dream world that someone that didn't get into my show is seeing him in my place and if i were a greedy pig one less paul westerberg fan got to see him, you know? Seeing as I would be going both nights if I go and that would brand me a greedy pig if I agreed with you... I'm going to have to go with "no" on the "you know?".
