Maybe Paul and Tommy can take this as an indication of what kidn of money a reunion could make them, They could auction tickets off for small shows. Then paul can stop whining about not making money, make some money, then head back to the basement

looks like after day one, the bids are at approx $35,000 total, and every EP has a bid on it...great news for SLIM, and the project, and the 'Mats

there is still over a week on these auctions, too, right? man, this is wonderful news. i think paul, tommy, and (figures crossed) chris could parlay (sp?) this into a very lucrative reunion tour. obviously, there hasn't been the desire to do it up until now, but maybe slim has changed the equation a bit. doing it for a good cause might cause more serious consideration?
admittedly, chris is a long, long shot, but IF such a reunion (one off, or tour) were to happen it would make it all the sweeter if chris was behind the kit. hell, strap a guitar on him, and have someone else play drums. that would be interesting. they could set up a doomtree style week of shows @ first ave.
i can dream.

Never underestimate the goodness of people. Couldn't Agree More... this should be one of the top stories on the T.V. but apparently the media in todays world sucks!

This is great news to hear how high the auction bids are going. It kind of makes me wonder who has the deep pockets for these collectibles to bid $10k for the first copy and who they would be. Would Billie Joe Armstrong be bidding for one of them? Johnny Rzeznick?

Don;t get scared off though, there are plenty of EPs still at the lowest bid price of $50 -- so you may not need to spend a ton to get one, can't hurt to try!

I imagine a lot of us are waiting to see what the situation is by next Friday and will bid those $50 EPs well into the $100s. At least hopefully (for Slim).

At this point it looks like each one is going to clear at least $100 each at the rate they're increasing. Great news!

Looks like a total of about $40,000 already. Awesome! Too bad my bid didn't hold but I went as far as I could.

This is great news to hear how high the auction bids are going. It kind of makes me wonder who has the deep pockets for these collectibles to bid $10k for the first copy and who they would be. Would Billie Joe Armstrong be bidding for one of them? Johnny Rzeznick? Probably Peter Jesperson. Sure he has access to the songs but to have this highly collectable record showcased in his office, well, there's a lot to be proud of there. The Mats story is Jesperson's story, in a way, and I'm guessing he would give Slim $50,000 if he needed it.
