I wouldn't get my heart set on the "with band" part.... k. Kathy, Could you and BW stop all the naysaying and at least let those of us that plan on attending hold onto hope? My heart is already set! Pretty soon you'll be telling us all that there is no Easter Bunny too!

For people who don't want to see the show unless it's going to be with a band, I wanted to let them know there isn't going to be one. If I lived there, I would go either way, but some people appear not to want to see a solo show again. k.

I'm still on, by my lovely bride is staying home. Today, I changed my reservation, but plan on getting into Louisville Friday in time for the Friday show, and leaving Sunday am. I may have room for one non-smoker in my room, as it is a double; wouldn't necessarily mind splitting the cost!

Leeme ask, maybe a stupid question, Paul W, the Patti Smith group and Sonic Youth have been ignored by the radio their entire careers. Why in the hell would they do a show at a radio convention? It's like inviting Ellen DeGeneres to a Elk Club Convention.

funny... that would be true if this were the Commercial Radio Conference...
however (Post 1) THIS IS THE Non-Commercial Radio Conference...
At the Commercial Radio Conference I think it's Matchbox 20, Creed & Nickelback.
...sadly I am busy that weekend.

It's like inviting Ellen DeGeneres to a Elk Club Convention. WFPK is public radio and believe me....they don't ignore ANYONE. You can hear something like this at any time; Johnny Cash, Paul Westerberg, Neil Young, The Proclaimers, Sheryl Crow, Jayhawks, Dwight Yoakam,Norah Jones, Webb Wilder, and Tom Petty! And that just might be all in a row. They play the Replacements semi-regularly and the afternoon guy is a big fan of theirs. Yesterday they played "What A Day For A Night". So I can vouch for the station he's doing the benefit for.....they'll play anything! Freddy
