Killjoy here.....
I got 100 bucks that says the only PW you will hear in Louisville will be an old song played through the PA before the opening bands go on.

I just can't see him re- surfacing to play what is almost a festival type of show in Louisville.
Now, maybe he is putting together a band for his new record, and maybe he is gonna do some shows to warm up before a tour.
I just don't think he would come back after so long and play a show in this format which he proclaims to loathe.
I'll believe it when a few other midwest shows are announced in the same time frame.
I swear if he does another solo tour I will donate all my collectible stuff to someone on this board.

Can I get in line for the collectibles, just in case? And would combo shows count where he plays with a band, but does a 30 minute solo encore?
I'm hoping Louisville is like a tour rehearsal for spring/summer tour with band.

Well, Louisville is only about 8 hours from me and I just drove through there a couple of months ago. I would consider going if it pans out and there is a band.
If not you get first choice on the collectibles. If it is a solo show that is. Or another solo tour.
I have some pretty cool stuff to choose from. maybe I'll try to talk ms. Elizabeth into coming. I know she would be a hit in Kentucky.

From this week's Lousivlle Eccentric Observer (leoweekly.com)
"WFPK-FM has announced the concert lineup for this year's NONCommvention, a trade show for noncommercial radio personnel that includes two concerts that are open to the public.
Those shows are set for May 14 and 15 at the Brown Theatre. Performing on Friday, in order of appearance, will be: Ben Folds (solo); The Holmes Brothers; Patty Griffin; and Zero 7
On Saturday, in order: The Ployphonic Spree; Paul Westerberg (with band); Patti Smith Group; and Sonic Youth.
The line-up is confirmed, but as always, subject to change, said Dan Reed of the Public Radio Partnership. Tickets are not on sale but will be soon."
With Band!!!!!!!!!!! Giddy-up!! and on my birthday to boot!
I'll post more as the day tickets will go on sale is announced.
And check out LouisvilleMojo.com's city guide for the best we have to offer in town (Besides the Derby!)

I don't want a date. Particularly a date in Kentucky (sorry Freddy).
It was Elizabeth and Matt Weiser who were going to have a date.
CC, you have NUMEROUS medical conditions.

Does that affect the big headgear thing you have for your braces?
You know, the thing that you think you can contact aliens with?

My ears rang and I itched all over, but the message never presented itself.
Hook it back up to the car battery and try again.
