Paul smashed the new First Act Paul Westerberg model guitar at the end of the set (guitar will be in stores beginning of next year). Westerberg model? I'd better start saving now.. CF No need to save, its going to be a cheapy and available through retail stores. Its pictured in one of the shots...I think its the one with what looks like pink plaid guard. He said the design was based on some input he gave on a rambling voice message to the company.

Thanks to Chris from The Acro-brats, who sent in a bunch of pictures today. I'll put the other ones up later but here's a nice look at the PW model guitar (and PW):

It'd be fine if the pickguard wasn't, uh, plaid!

I'm just hoping the plaid comes in different colors...dark green or blue maybe.

Well, if it's an unattractive plaid color, I can always customize the pick guard....lots of colored electrical tape decorations, like Eddie Van Halen use to do with his Kramer guitars.

It's just a matter of finding a matching shirt..... From what I'm reading, other First Act sig guitars are in the $1000-$1500 range.... Here's to hoping it's more affordable. From the picture its looks to be somewhat a replica of a Les Paul Jr. with a single coil (possibly P-90 like) pickup. Pretty true to the types of guitars he likes to play. like that awesome early 60's SG that he destroyed in Mpls....

He told me it would be inexpensive, and sold at stores like target... sort of like the ME501. I had assumed it would be one of those expensive custom jobs, and he corrected me on that assumption. I thought it was great news. (Now hopefully, they will make HIM a nice customized number with all the bells and whistles.)

With his hair brushed off his forehead (the picture on the main site of Paul and photog.), he looks a little more like the picture of his dad in the Folker booklet.

I keep hitting my head when I fall down after looking at this picture. I seem to have PW induced concussions.
He really needs to tour, if only for my health.

Did he only play those First Act guitars from the store? Yeah, he only played first act guitars. When I asked about playing AFTER the show, his only option appeared to be the piano in the hotel lobby so I'd guess he didn't even pack any of his own guitars. Minehan played this very pretty guitar called Lola, from the first act store. Earlier, a salesman told me that he would get me in if I bought one.... price tag--$1,500. So was there a piano session with P? Also, has anyone determined what the other song was?

no piano session. after a few seconds, I understand the hotel staff told him knock it off.
Apparently, lobby pianos are for show, not play.
