Wow. What an unbelievable show. Paul was totally energetic and looked like he couldn't be happier to be playing. His voice was great, the words were (mostly)there the band was incredibly tight, there were no lulls in the show save for a broken string. The entire event is still a little new in the mind, can't quite believe what a good time that was. Best rock show I've seen in a long, long time. I'm still surprised at just how much he rocked. He completely tore it up.
Songs in order:
Stain Yer Blood If I Had a Hammer Gun Shy Making Me Go On the Bus Merry Go Round Someone Take the Wheel I'm going to live forever Let the Bad Times Roll Now I Wonder As Far as I Know Valentine Born for Me High Time Psychopharmocology Here Comes A Regular *solo acoustic Skyway *solo acoustic What a day for a Night Love Untold Different Drum Knockin' on Mine Mr. Rabbit I Will Dare Achin' to Be I Think I Love You Anywhere's Alright I.O.U.
E1: MPLS Alex Chilton Can't Hardly Wait> Vampires and Failures> Can't Hardly Wait
E2: Hootenanny *Paul on drums Left of the Dial
If the tour opener was any indication, this is going to be a great run for Mr. Westerberg. Honestly, he was freakin' awesome last night

To heck with the set list, I just want to know; Did he clearly sing "from a dormitory, a former whore, she's peeing on ajax" ;D blanknym: Peeing/ "P"-ing (synonym's cousin= blankymn) Given my recent conversation with a guy... I'm taking at least partial credit for getting this in the set list. <sidenote, from: Spike Lee's 25th Hour> "P'd" at the night club. I hope she's not pregnant. post script review: redaction/concession/admission screenplay says, took "E" at the night club... 25th Hour

thank you milwauktonians for coming thru with the info. Now I can seethe with envy Indeed. I had to put in CFMT DVD just to get a fix as I was becoming depressed and overcome with jealousy. I'm hating everyone in Chicago tonight!

As I write this, Paul is probably playing encores in Chicago and here I sit, a stupid loser with a hole in his shoe. I need to take a good look at myself.......

I feel like I should bring out that textbook on advanced symbolic logic that I have knocking around somewhere in my apartment. At least that pre-calc book from high school...

No, I have seen Paul only once, and that was as an opening act for Petty. I did see tommy at the Uptown, but it's not the same. Ishould have made the 15 hour drive to Milwaukee, I'm still kicking myself. The Pantages shows should have been the highlight of my life, but my asshole brother picked that weekend to get married, so I was in Denver. He and his wife have been informed that if they divorce they will be hunted down and killed like the dogs they are.

Smoo, do it the old fashioned way. Pack up a backpack and stick out your thumb.
Carry a big sign that says "Young man going West - erberg. Will work for food".

Ok I'm joining in on the taunting of Smoo. You have to see a show on this tour. I can't even begin to tell you how great it is. Not counting Pantages I've been to 7 shows so far and each show only makes me want to go to another. I've seen a lot of shows it my time (which I know isn't a lot of time) but these are amazing.
DO IT!!
