I always thought Chris Cooper kind of looks like Paul, but he'd have to play "future Paul", or Paul's Dad?

One I that I really hate the least is Tears Rolling. Love the quirky keyboard, and the line "never a moon on water shone as you do here" and "Pregnent for minutes and bored for hours" and the follow up "never a moon and water works as you and me".
One of my favorites - that means compared to anything I own (sase for a list).

I just got Suicaine a few weeks ago. It's already one of my favorites. You think you know the man and then he blows you away with some skills you didn't know he had. Got my copy on Ebay, then had to buy another, a cut out from Amazon, for a lady friend. I believe Suicaine would appeal particularily to ladies, at least this lady, we'll see...

What I like about the piano songs is Paul singing in a lower register. The piano is understated, letting the quality of his voice carry the songs.
suicaine - something that makes suicide painless?
novocaine - something that makes driving a Nova painless.

Pianos should slap a restraining order on PW. It's the guitars that need the restraining order . I mean, what could Paul do to harm a piano?

I received S.G. just last week thanks to a Canadian on Ebay. So far I love it, in part because of the piano songs. Paul should play the sax more too.

You got the Old Testament: Mats You got the New Testament: Paul And you got the sects: Paulsbertyrians, Suicatarians, Basementarians, Studioists, those who believe in sacrement of guitar smashing, and those who believe that smashing is only symbolic.
If you're looking up in heaven, you'll find em all.

I just did my part to spread the Mats / Westerberg love. Way to go brother. It's so inspiring to hear these tales of re-birth. ;D

Not at the show tonight, but watching "For a Few Dollars More" while listening to Paul. Some kind of synchronicity happening...

The New Standards performed "I Will Dare", and Laurie Lindeen did "Blue Christmas" accompanied by the New Standards with Adam Levy on guitar. All at the New Standards Holiday Show last Saturday - 'twas the night to behold!

Mary Lucia said on her radio show that their dad could swim and smoke a cigar at the same time. That was very endearing. I was wondering if he could flip it around and do a lap underwater and emerge with it still lit... In a sense PW has done that...

This is a fun story from a co-worker who lives nearish Paul and turns out coached Johnny in soccer. At a game, a mom came up to my friend and whispered "do you know who that is over there?" and my friend says "yeah, that's Johnny's dad". That's hilarious! ;D By the way, my friend has since listened to Besterberg ("I really liked that!") and will certainly know who "Johnny's dad" is next time. Though Paul probably prefers to be known as Johnny's dad (as any proud dad would).

I just sold Chris Mars a bed. & No, not that Chris Mars. This guy didn't even know he was famous. I'm guessing the other Chris Mars is not buying used beds these days...

We must organise a boycott. Save the Paul! Stop buying his records! Now. We need one of those magnet ribbon stickers "Support Paul, Stop Buying His Records!" Is Mould full of himself?
