These videos confirm Nazareth's account - boys appear in fine spirits and full of grins:

Thanks for that context, Nazareth. From the sound of the stream of consciousness review you posted earlier, it was a great show despite the setting. Glad you got the chance to witness a rock ' roll assault at its finest! I can only imagine what it was like when the opening chords to Nowhere Is My Home transitioning into Bobs infamous riff rang out - probably akin to when the boys launched into Wake Up in Toronto!

I caught that as well, and read Tommys quote to the effect of "I'm glad Duff can help out, because I was going to play these Mats shows either way"

He's wide awake, and wise enough to get paid for the first shoes in 20+ years..... Then once the novelty wears off, if the spark is still there, they can play smaller venues for us diehards.
At least that's what I'm telling myself as we miss tonight's show!

I've tried to find an answer as well, to no avail. Perhaps the boys pull out 'Seen Your Video'?

New songs. Or at least one new song. With the amount of time that has passed, and the winter that we're having, they should have a few new songs. That would be a treat. Fluffy Monkey On A Stick?

Respectfully disagree. This is a film about diehard fans profoundly touched by a relatively obscure rock band that never made it past one foot in the door, the other in the gutter. It's about people like us. The band is the vehicle, the common denominator, but not the star of the film, hence the title. I too would love to see an all-access type rockumentary with band interviews, live performances etc but that's not what "Color Me Obssessed" is. I truly enjoyed the film and the narrative it provides on the enduring legacy of a great band.

Dose of Thunder Road? First Avenue Freeze-out?? Sorry - was born to pun! Really cool to see this article. There are some covers on Bruce's new cd but it doesn't look like Slim/Mats are there. Bet Bruce could take a nice swing at 'Take it on the Chin'. Brilliant puns!!
I don't know what song I'd like to hear Bruce do, might have to think about it.
Early Springsteen solo sound could fit "Hate This Town" quite well....

Ok, assuming that they eventually get enough votes to get in at some point, what songs do they play? Does Chris play with them? Will Slim ever recover enough to attend? My guess is that this is the one gig Chris WOULD play with the band.... Sure would be sweet for Slim to be able to attend.
