Did you check the tripleA website? There is a schedule in place now, for the conference and the music performances. Friday night's big show is scheduled from 7 pm till 11, and Saturday, with PW, runs from 7 till midnight! Glad to see that Saturday runs for 5 hours! Everyone should get around an hour leaving 15 mins to move equipment? Should be quite a show! There is also live music in the Brown Hotel lobby both days, beginning in the late afternoon, and midnight on Friday night. Still no word on public ticket sales yet...

All they said on the Friday drive home was that tickets would go on sale "soon." In my opinion, if they don't announce it soon for the locals (like me), it might get drowned out in the beat of the drum for DERBY!! and all the ancillary events surrounding it. There will be those of us diehard fans of any of the bands playing, who'll be very interested, but people are going to be spending gobs of disposable income in the next month, so they need to put 'em on sale this week as a preemptive strike against our wallets. Again, just my opinion.

I'm hoping all you locals DO spend all your dough at the derby, more and better tickets for us out-of-towners!

you have to be a member of WFPK to get the password (regarding early ticket sales)... if you are - you'll get the e-mail with the password. These are GENERAL ADMISSION tickets, and I don't suspect they'll sell out before they go on sale Saturday. Thanks - Dan Above is correspondence from Dan Reed, programming guy with the Louisville station. Good News regarding General Admission...just have to get there early for those primo seats! Damn shame Ticketmaster has to be involved

Okay, I'm in.
Booked a room at the Holiday Inn on Broadway from May 14-16 (I think people were saying this the conf. was 5/13-15, but the the 13th is a Thurs.).
I probably won't make the Fri. night show due to work and travel time (8hrs. for me), but will be there in plenty of time to have some cocktails (don't forget your bail money).
I'm staying at The Holiday Inn rather than the Brown because I get a corporate discount and because they have a non-accomodation policy for all bass playing, rapier wielding, mask wearing pousers.
just kidding- el g.

They just announced that tickets go on sale this Saturday (4/8/04) at 10:00 a.m (est) for both shows. The show with Paul is the Saturday 5/15/04 show.
Tickets are $15.00. I'm sure that Ticketmaster will gouge for an excessive fee but what're ya gonna do?
Go to Ticketmaster.com or if you're in the region, you should be able to call your local Ticketmaster and find out.
Again, that's THIS Saturday 4/8/04 at 10:00 a.m. est, 9:00a.m. central, 8:00 a.m. mountain and 7:00 a.m. pacific
Hopefully, this helps you out-a-towners!!

Well Drew, since you are in Louisville and all, how about heading down to the Brown Theatre ticket office and purchase a large block for all of us? This would save all of us from those exhorbitant TMaster fees!
Since that's not likely, can you share what the better watering holes are around the Brown Theatre district? I really don't like drinking in Hotel bars if I don't have to. You know, something with a decent jukebox and cheap beer?

$15.00, that's it?...
I thought that might be the deal breaker for me.
That means extra drinking $, which in turn, logically leads to the need for extra bail money.

But since when has Kentucky been the Midwest? I always thought Kentucky was more of a southern state... Anyways, too far and too poor, though who knows what I might be able to finagle. We'll see I guess.

We'll see I guess. I'm in the Midwest and about 4 miles from KY, so I think there is some kind of reciprocity agreement.. This whole topic has me wondering the furthest distance anyone here has travelled only to see a concert? Can anyone top the Board Mistress flying from Beantown to MPLS for the guthrie shows? And SP, are you and Mr Big Star still bringing the misses?

Paul offered to pick me up on his way through and give me a ride to the show.
You'll recognize me right away. I'll be the guy riding on the handlebars.
Hope it doesn't rain......(fingers crossed)
