Oh, that drink comment is gonna get you in trouble. You heard it here first. I am still looking for that Dulli Interview so i can figure out who in hell is in that SS band........
Work is so slow right now. I need to find something constructive to do. First I need to find that Duritz interview where he admits he wears a wig......

As acting board know it all, I must point out that Duritz dated not one, but two, count em two, "friends". not to split dreads. isn't 98 Degrees from "Cincy?"

oh, and another tip: don't count on the smileys to mitigate the wrath 'o' elizabeth with the drink comment. i wouldn't want to meet up with her in a dark alley after that. or in broad daylight.

go easy on Mr Duritz... anyone who opens their debut album with the lines: "step out the front door, like a ghost into the fog where no one notices the contrast between white on white..." can't be all bad... It's unusual, for a bands first album to be its best, but in the case of the CC, it seems to be the case. They now resort, to middle-of-the-road renditions of Joni Mitchell songs, instead of writing their own rootsy-Dylanesque type stuff, that they used to do so well... I guess Adam Duritz doesn't want to be Bob Dylan anymore.

"step out the front door, like a ghost into the fog where no one notices the contrast between white on white..." as poetic as that may sound, i think it's dumb. no one notices the flipping contrast because there is none, DUH.

I am not know it all any longer, but I read where Duritz once said he had 9 years to write the songs for "August and Everything After" and then suddenly had a year to come up with a second album. I respect the difficulty in that situation.
I am familiar with all his records. My wife plays them frequently, and i am in agreement that after the first one something went horribly wrong.
How many pages can jenin's hello thread go?

See, Big Wheel, this is why we had to take your know it all title away, honestly. E! , you know the voyeuristic, schadenfraude filled channel that created "the true hollywood story" show. It must be that you have a life and are too busy for the really important stuff like celebrity stalking. it's channel 45 where i live.

Lizzy eats smileys for breakfast - they will not thwart her. Unless it is in the morning - rumor has it that she is more relaxed in the morning and has great abs!
Jen, I will admit I enjoyed the way you threw in that sly "Good Night, Elizabeth" double entendre. Do you suppose that the Counting Crows came up with their name as a homage to Cutting Crew? JK I have no doubt anyone coming across Lizzy in a dark alley would die in her arms tonight.

Goodo while there is much talk about "board intellectual," "board know-it-all," you my friend are not only my enabler, but the board enabler. growing up you probably didn't get your ass kicked much, but I bet there was always some kind beef always swirling around you
Elizebeth you are a wicked bitch and I love it!

Lizzy, you're slipping. This does not come near approaching some of your classics retorts. I did like the Slim in your basement comment though - brought back fond memories of the old days when you had a whole band captured in your basement for a time. Wheelie, with 6 kids and a vast array of musical instruments I am not surprised that you don't know much about E!, the channel of smut and dirt (not that it's a bad thing.) If you start watching it we will have to change your name to Big E! instead.

I have spent the past two mornings at home with a sick 9 month old and a sick 4 year old and then my wife comes home so I can go to work. It is grating on me badly. Especially considering the fact that I am highly addicted to caffeine and there is none in the house. Today my lovely bride brought home a 12 pack of cream soda, a 6 pack of Orangina, and a giant fountain coke for herself. I was sitting in the living room with about 4 cigarettes in my mouth and a pounding headache and when she walked in I stole her soda and locked myself in the bathroom and drank every ounce in 1 big pull. Now I am working on a Mt. Dew and feel fine and am ashamed of my behavior from just 90 minutes ago. On the plus side I did have the sick little people all cleaned up, medicated, and sleeping. I am not all bad. I probably ought to call her, apologize, and then bring home some coca- cola. I did get to watch the today show as I paced and shook. katie Couric is such a freak. She made some comment about having too much "junk in her trunk" and she has this new haircut that freaks me out. I am not turning the TV on again before 8:00 pm.......
