Who exactly is this "dude" person?
I can't answer right now. They are unhooking my IV and taking me out in the corridor for some exercise. Once I pop my teeth in I am all set to go face the world.
E, you are 34. You also spent way too much time in Maine.

oh BW, don't give me that 'lobsterlady' shit again. Maine is a great place to hide out, and besides, I was only rehabbing there for 1 year.

Hey there liam! What's up with you on this fine day? Not much. Just chillin' with my daughters. One is napping and the other is just plain cantankerous. How about yourself?

BigWheel, the guitar in question is a Washburn HB35... (sounds great)
we went to the guitar shop and played the Casino's, Sheratons, etc... All of the guitars in that price range, and this one easily outshone them all, rivaling only th elusive ES 335 in sound quality...
I gotta go finish watching Donnie Darko now (for the 3rd time)... I really like this movie...

Donnie Darko is awesome and was filmed in a small Virginia town only about an hour from where I am sitting at this moment. It was written by a young Virginian as well. It is a great film. My wife made me watch it, and for once she made a good suggestion.
As far as guitars go......it seems cheap guitars sound just as wonderful as expensive guitars do. My 335 refuses (always has) to stay in tune for more than 8 minutes, but when it is in tune it is a wonderful instrument. I have a tele that stays in tune for months at a time, but it lacks the oomph a 335 can supply. I had a Les Paul that I thought would supply everything I wanted, but I felt foolish with it. A Les Paul is kind of a big statement, and I lacked that big balls attitude. I have been a drummer since childhood, but have always played other instruments (with less success than drums). I am currently real into piano because you can beat on it like the drums, and still hold some melody down. It also makes my children go crazy when i drink too much and start bashing on the piano. My wife can actually play the piano, so i am careful not to let her hear my fumblings.
Elizabeth, I never knew why you were in Maine. I just remember a story you told about a boating adventure you had there. This was several years ago. I assumed you had lived there, or were raised there. I certainly did not intend to bring up unhappy memories for you. You called yourself Lobster lady. I certainly would not have named you that.

Much amusement on this grey, crappy Monday. A few observations...
1) Lizzy - cranky as usual my dear; I thought for sure your RA was Rick Astley - I picture you in your neon dancing to "Never Gonna Give You Up."
2) Wheelie - I didn't know that about the toy names. I guess Big Wheel is much better than Inch Worm.
3) They refer to you as Biggie because you are the MWT west coast rapper representing. Lizzy represents the East coast. She will now be known as 2Pac Lizzy.
4) Hiding out in Maine= shacking up with Steven King or writing book about Chamberlin?
5) Jen, welcome to the wonderful world of miscreants and eccentrics. Do not fret - we are really a harmless and protective bunch. The fact that you've been insulted by the best, our dear Lizzy, means you are one of us now. But beware as the stink does not come off.
6) Whenever I see El Goodo I think of Cornolio and it makes me snicker.
7) No one here is old - too much piss and vinegar to allow aging.
8) Abe Vigoda...nothing here. Sometimes I just like to say his name and think of Fish and Sal Tessio

Me? Chillin' with my doghter! My puppy is my child. What a great word, cantankerous! Being a writer, I love it when people broaden their use of the English language. I am trying to get my facts straight for the trivia question I have in mind but I may just go over there and post it without 'em since I can't seem to find out. It seems I spend a lot more time at my computer now that I found this board - too intriguing and fun! I'm sure that your question will be a good one. So now that you've found us... what do you think? Most people here are really nice. there are a lot of creative people here (writers, musicians, artists, etc.) And as we've found out a lot of migraine sufferers!

Damn Gator coach stole my thunder - there is only one zook that matters! Lizzy -you are correct about Josh, though my apologies for the bad spelling. He's one of my favorite civil war figures and interesting dude to boot. IS he the real reason you moved to Maine We can call you 6 Pac Lizzy instead but then you'd have to rev up the Richard Simmons and Abs of Steel tapes and I don't want to think of you wearing those bright pink leg warmers.

the quote thingy is in the upper right-hand corner of a post. Look at the subject of every post and look directly on the right (kinda redundant, but I sometimes have a hard time explaining things).
My wife gets a little pissed sometimes by how much of my free time is spent here.

Can I be the board know it all? I know the ages of both biggie and elizabeth, and can confirm that they are both in marvelous shape for their advanced age. Hopefully they both remember that I am now, and always will remain, under 30. And yes, I couldn't agree more about the RA comment. It made my day.

Lizzy - never said they weren't. But all the attention to this board won't make them stay that way Now you made me picture Olivia Newton-John in the Let's Get Physical video. Tell me you don't own a headband.

i vote for CC as new board know-it-all ! Zook - it's funny that you should bring this up. I already did an ab workout today, as I do almost every morning. why am i telling you this? I have developed a method of excercise that tones the abs, and satisfies the whole body at the same time (if you know what I'm talking about). ching ching.
