Hey, did they ever issue any vinyl records for any of the basement albums? i.e. Suicaine, Stereo, Mono, CFMT, Folker. Actually, for ANY of his solo records? Just wondering on this one. Would like to maybe get a couple if they ever were released in that format... Can anyone help?

DMS is on vinyl, that counts as basement, right? It's missing a song or two though in the transition from CD to vinyl. The Grandpaboy 45 (Undone/I Want My Money Back) is only on vinyl I think, that's probably basement.
Not to hijack your thread, but a little brain teaser is what one or two songs would you leave off any full length PW solo CD to make it fit on vinyl?

Just thinking how nice it would be to have Stereo/Mono on double vinyl...

I always figure the way the record was originally recorded, and the songs that were included, was the way the musician wanted the listener to hear the record at that moment in time, so I'd be hard pressed to get rid of any original tracks...Not to say that every song is perfect or anything, but the intent means a lot to me. I'd never wanna hear, say, Exile On Main Street without all 18 of those songs the same way I'd wanna hear 14 Songs with...all 14 songs.

although it would be funny to have an album called "14 songs" with only 12 or 13 songs on it. kind of like when dillinger four started out as a 3 piece.

Honestly the only Westerberg solo release song I could cut is "Actor in the Street".
I listened to Suicaine last night and it becomes more and more brilliant with each listen...then I get to that song.

Have you got trouble with cd's of Paul Westerberg you old fashionned vinyl worshippers? I was just kidding... I would love to get 14 Songs in a vinyl issue. The vinyl is much better when you have a good ear just for the bass frequencies. And it's beautiful. If we consider that ALL SHOOk DOWN is the first Westerberg solo album in a way, there was a German edition on vinyl off ALL SHOOK DOWN on EBAY , 10 th April was the end of the auction and it has increased to 65 US dollars which is too expensive for me.Too bad ! DMS would sound like an old rock'n'roll record, anywa I like the format.
