For when we leave: Can't Hardly Wait hold on. which version? i made mix cds for my sister's wedding (the cocktail hours part - pre dinner). i put all manner of lyrically inappropriate songs in the mix. hell, i even through some nick cave from "murder ballads" on there. i was going for an overall sound, and i didn't worry about lyrics. most the aforementioned paul songs turned up in there, too. after dinner, the groom got up & played waitress in the sky & little red corvette on acoustic in front of everyone. nice surprise for everyone.

Here's what I have planned so far; During the early background music stage of the reception: Love Untold and Whatever Makes You Happy For the dancing: My Daydream, Hot Un (her fave), Seein Her, Dyslexic Heart and Making Me Go For when we leave: Can't Hardly Wait Excellent, excellent - especially the inclusion of "Hot 'Un"(you're marrying a good woman there TT). The only other tune I'd add would be a good boot of PW's "I Think I Love You" cover - the non-PWer's may cast a sideways glance at you, but everybody would sing along.

As far as which version of Can't Hardly Wait I'll be playing, I'm going with the traditional version. (I often joke to my future bride that I could fill up a cd with all the different versions I have of this song, but that cool fact seems totally lost on her. She just stares and asks "Why would you want to do that?" Ah....the things I put up with for love.....)
I am NOT of fan of "I think I love you", not even Paul's version.
She got a kick out of the suggestion to add Gary's Got a Boner. That's more honeymoon appropriate, don't cha think?
