you know, I made a remark in another thread about the re-issued or remastered stuff as feeling kind of like a money grab by Paul and Tommy. It may have come across as a bit harsh; I mean, I don't hold it against them for trying to earn some more royalty checks, to help pay off some debt still owed to Warners, I just would like to support them too by buying new Mats stuff, not 35+ year old songs I've already purchased. It's kind of a shame that the post reunion sessions didn't yield a new Mats CD.
BUT! I had forgotten that there was also the recurring medical costs for Slim. So if any of the proceeds can go to help Slim out, if Slim and his family can get some royalty checks too and some financial relief, I'm good with that. And it's still heartbreaking knowing that Slim is debilitated by that stroke and that it robbed him of playing and singing again. I wish him and his family well.

The estate sale is a moving sale. Their house was sold last month, a tear down. It was last purchased in 1985, my guess Slim and his wife bought it, I kinda doubt they rented it this long, it was an inexpensive house back then. Good luck to the both of them.
