Rolling Stone's Greatest 200 Singers of All Time

Just came out I believe yesterday. Interesting.





Of course RS is a rag, and they come out with crappy lists, but I found this one interesting because:

1. Westerberg is largely unknown and a recluse
2. He is not known as a "singer".
3. If he knows about this, he would be laughing his ass off.

Of course the internet is in a mild hissy fit because their favorite singers are not on the list- Sting, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Justin Bieber, Jim Morrison, Steve Winwood, etc.


Have no idea how they came up with the "list", but I guess Paul's still relevant to some at Rolling Stone.

I'm actually surprised that Rolling Stone didn't put Morrison on that list. After all they practically started that whole Doors revival in the early 80s with that "He's Hot, He's Sexy, He's Dead" cover!

I think the first thing that drew me to The Replacements were Paul's vocals.
