I'm a 20 year, perennial beginner guitar strummer. I need recommendations on a couple of Mats/Westerberg songs that are reasonable simple to play. Any advice?

I'm a 20 year, perennial beginner guitar strummer. I need recommendations on a couple of Mats/Westerberg songs that are reasonable simple to play. Any advice? Simple ones? "If Only You Were Lonely" and "Here Comes a Regular" are ones that come to mind. Lonely is really kind of a basic country tinged chord progression until he gets to the chorus (which is like a B minor chord to C major). Regular is played with a capo and is F major added 9th chord, C added 9th, and G, and only changed right before the chorus. Can't recall what chord that is...D minor I think?
