Definitely, Singer/Songwriter. Besides anything with "ster" on the end is not for me and I suspect it's not for him, either.

can't decide. he's a singer/songwriter that writes some damn good rockers and he can still kick it with the best of them.

I voted other. (My favorite type of music according to Columbia House!)
I break it down as follows,
solo - Singer/Songwriter (& use the G-Damn 12 string) with a band - Rocker He ain't never a Popster!

I'm with Kathy. (D) All of the above=F**ker (Folker) everytime i see "f**ker" used, i get a warm-fuzzy right here... *points at chest* someway, somehow i hope paul will catch wind, and work it into the album artwork or maybe a concert tee shirt or some damn thing.

Although he definitely can "rock" with the best of them, that phrase seems too narrow to describe PW. (I'd say Andrew WK can rock too.) What makes PW great are his songs (whether they're rock, folk, blues, etc.) and his ability to sing them with passion, so I voted for Singer/Songwriter.

He ain't never a Popster! my daydream is another that's definitely pop. he's all of the above and more if you include grandpa boy, who i love just as much. greatness ain't disguised behind alter egos.

would 'artist' be too pretentious?

I put Westerberg right up there with Dylan, so I'll go with singer-songwriter. Both those guys have done the acoustic thing and the rock thing quite successfully...
I wonder what Paul's favorite Dylan album would be...hmmm.
