Its a 1 4 5 kinda thing.
I think in the recording its D G D for the verse A G D for the chorus bit and Paul Hammers the third finger on the D chord on and off for that intro thing. Its a shame he didn't record this one in a slightly better quality

I never did understand what I-IV-V meant. Still don't. It refers to the root notes of a chord progression. In the key of 'C' it would look like this (each number is a note in the major scale): I = C II = D III = E IV = F V = G VI = A VII = B VIII = C So I-IV-V in this case would be a C, F, G chord progression. Hope that helped.

Sounds like another of Paul's open chord songs. Never quite right in open tuning.
Oh, and the I-IV-V thing...the II, III and VI are generally minor chords. The VII is an outlier (Locrian in modes), but a major chord often works for rock progressions. Of course, no rules -- suspended chords, 7ths, etc.
