Opened for Elvis Costello and my very first show. Was anyone else there?

I am so upset that I missed that show. How did the Replacements sound that night? Also, how long did they play for?

They sounded amazing, opened with I Will Dare and played way more than any other opening act I've seen since. They even did an encore, playing Treatment Bound with Paul on the drums, Steve on guitar, Slim on bass, and Tommy on guitar and singing. So happy that I can say they were the first band I ever saw live.

Yup. I was there. Walked out on Elvis Costello - he was in his hippy phase hated it.

I know this is late, but thank you for letting me know about the show. Somehow, I missed reading these posts sooner. I liked Elvis Costello back then. Paul told me, at the record store signing, in NYC, in 2002 that he was thinking of touring with Elvis Costello. I'm glad he decided to tour by himself. That was a great tour.

I'd be interested to know if there's a recording of this show
