I also remember reading a piece on Westerberg when he was doing the record store tours and hanging out at his bus after shows signing stuff. Michael Stipe was waiting quietly for Paul to finish so they could hang out. Would love to read this one, if you can remember the source.

Latest Episode of Ted Lasso on Apple TV (S2Ep9) has a quick clip of “Nightclub Jitters”. Wow. Yep, just got caught up and thought I'd seen this. Great scene, great episode, great show. "Good payday for Paul." my wife said.

I don't think this was reported on in this forum MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesotans, like the rest of the country, have been so pent up and starved for live entertainment for the past year that they’ve gotten desperate. This might be a prime reason why when spotted in public, a massive crowd formed around an unsuspecting Paul Westerberg going about his day and talking to himselfwww.thenordly.com/nordly/mumbling-wandering-paul-westerberg-draws-crowd-of-10000/hahaha.....excellent!

Not sure if this has been posted before or not, but it was new to me. Paul jamming in his basement with Juliana Hatfield on bass & Josh Freese on drums. http://instagram.com/p/CZARvwVBX1H

I remember seeing them in San Francisco at The Gift Center (and awful venue) with the Young Fresh Fellows opening. The band came out on stage wearing auto mechanic coveralls and my wife and I noticed that they looked different.I got up close into the pit and could see that they had shaved eyebrows, they each looked like E.T. the extraterrestrial, especially Slim. I had my eyeglasses knocked off during their cover of Anarchy in the UK, somehow managed to find them on the floor; a little bent, but wearable.

“If you love your parents, you’ll know what to do.” Realizing Paul is still my fashion idol lol.

This was predictable ( yep). Of course I'll get it, but I do wish they'd just offer the vinyl option with the original release.
`mats fans will also be interested to pick up RSD releases from The Bleeding Hearts (Bob Stinson's band) and the original Golden Smog EP (Chris Mars on drums).

Has this concert been available as a bootleg? What era of the band is it from? (I should know these things!) Also curious about this Riches to Rags record—almost looks like Paul on the cover. Jer, how would you describe the sound of The Bleeding Hearts?

Jer, how would you describe the sound of The Bleeding Hearts? I believe the date was 1/23/81 at the 7th Street Entry and it's on the "Sorry Ma.." box set that Rhino released a couple of months ago. There was a bootleg over on DIME, but it was pulled once the official release came out.
