File under "A Stretch"....Late night AirBnB TV watching in the Boston area, Fred Sanford crooning WHAT KIND OF FOOL AM I while making pancakes for Lamont (and dropping some, only to quickly put back in pan while looking over his shoulder).

This is a couple years old now, but it's a great performance of a really good song from an excellent album that maybe didn't get the attention it deserved.

Cool article from Ann Arbor in 1985 a friend found in his stuff recently. The Nectarine Ballroom was fka The Second Chance ( exhaustive awesome website), where Cheap Trick, Ramones, etc all played many amazing shows. It became the Nectarine and was primarily a gay bar but they had a lot of great concerts - Hüsker Dü, Soul Asylum (Hang Time & Horse tours), Ministry (last night of The Mind is a Terrible tour), Bob Mould's first couple solo tours, so many. I also met my wife there. Soul Asylum opened this Nectarine show, I'm pretty sure, and there is a recording of the `mats set, but it's super loud and a tough listen. Had to compress the PDF to get it under the 1MB limit, but it seems pretty readable. Not sure if they're still maintaining The Replacements Bible, but if they are, I can provide a higher-res for that.

There is a cat who visits our house from time to time. His name is George. I call him George From Outer Space. No one gets it.
Next post will be much more interesting. Hopefully.

Not sure how random this is. But, I can't help but notice that paulwesterberg.com no longer is up and running.
I'd gladly buy the domain name to give it to Paul and his management (assuming it's affordable). I'd guess they could buy it themselves (assuming they even know about it).
I feel like it should be Paul's for links to music and merchandise at a minimum.

Ran across this photo last week, looking up info on Big Star's 3rd Album (Complete) . Very much reminds me of the Let It Be rooftop pic by Dan Corrigan

I'm helping Kathy with some things around here (including potentially finding a new host for the website), so, in short, she knows and hopefully it'll be back up soon!

Kind of a stretch here but if you’re a Catholic you’ve probably followed, or at least are aware of, the controversial Amazon synod these past few weeks. At any rate the Vatican, as part of this event, installed (to some) heretical statues of this pagan figure, Pachamama, in the church of Santa Maria in Transpontina in Rome. And yesterday a couple of pissed-off parishioners stole the idols from the church and threw them in the Mississ—ahem—threw them in the River Tiber.
