Seeing that poster on SNL sort of reminds me of when you see someone like Avril Lavigne with a Ramones t-shirt. This is worse:

I think the SNL folks were trying to catch some Hip local images in , what looks like Union Square, for the whole "look we ARE really in NYC!" I thinks it's hyterical that it's a Tommy flyer, & I don't think it's completly random... At least SOMEONE at SNL apparently has a s ense of humor......

This is worse: CHEEZ N' CRACKERS! I rest my case. She doesn't deserve to wear that shirt and should just take it off. ahem. ARegular, to answer your question, she sells Scent CD's(see Febreze thread)and can be heard on most country stations, even though she's from Canada and lives in Sweden( i read Readers Digest in the can. sue me). And is married to the guy who produced AC/DC's and Def Leppard's biggest albums ever. How's that for a freak!?

Whereas I see nothing at all wrong with that picture. (who is it?) Shania is a Stepford pop star. I refuse to call what she does country. She's gorgeous but I think I can see the her wind-up handle peeking out on the side there. I actually heard that she lived in France. If so, France and Shania definitely deserve each other.

There's more country up here sure half it's tundra... and she actually lives in Switzerland w/ husband Mutt Lange. I know too much useless infomation

She's just plain awful.
When her last record came out, there was a two story tall version of that picture on the side of the Tower Records near me. The first time I saw it I didn't know if I should laugh or cry.

I guess I'm outdated and still associate country music with rural america. I love Canada, Neil Young can twang like nobody's business. And Paul Schaffer has one of the sharpest wits and quickest fingers as anyone from Thunder Bay. Anyways, no offense meant. She should really be sportin' an Anne Murray t-shirt.

Paul Bunyon and Paul Westerberg, what a combo. I have another siting. The company I work for helps with an auction site and I just got to pick up some of the items. One was an autrographed Tommy Stinson CD Sampler. He scribbled out the s and o in Stinson, wrote Oooops! and signed. Other items of note, Ramones poster autographed by Marky and Leg Lamp (Christmas Story).

She should really be sportin' an Anne Murray t-shirt. That would be waaaayyyyy too clever for her marketers sensibilities.

agreed! she isn't attractive (at all) to me either. physically, i just find her repugnant. wanna know why? because everytime i see a picture of her, or see her in a video it is painfully obviously that she is trying so hard to be something she isn't. i find it deeply uncomfortable to see her in her "sexy" get ups, and even more so in a ramones tee shirt ripped just so. her music isn't country either.

Another reason she's a putz.

Ok I know I shouldn't post everytime I hear the band on the radio but damn the Current played Customer today. Was really not expecting that. The last time I heard that on the radio was when my friend got interviewed and did a bit of guest DJing on RadioK (college radio station). Last night at 6:15 on The Current, I'm In Trouble "from The Replacements first full length recording"

Today, a half hour before his sister's show on the Current in MPLS, Paul's "Trumpet Clip" received its world radio premiere.
