This is a thread that was up awhile ago and I really liked it so I'm bringing it back. It would be nice to hear what some of the new folks would say. I had a really good list the first time so I hope I can remember it. Here it goes: Paul - Runaway Wind - Norah Jones We May Be the Ones - Bruce Springsteen Kickin' the Stall - Keith Richards Born For Me - Lucinda Williams Bad Boy Blues - Solomon Burke with Chuck Berry on guitar and Bob Dylan on harmonica Do Right in Your Eyes - Ryan Adams Pyschopharmacology/Man Without Ties - John Prine It's a Wonderful Lie - Tom Waits Things - Wilco
Replacements - Johnnys Gonna Die - David Johanson Bastards of Young - Drive By Truckers Androgynous - Rufus Wainwright Little Mascara - Ryan Adams Here Come a Regular - Kathleen Edwards Within Your Reach - Peter Gabriel Shiftless When Idle - X Sadly Beautiful - Josh Rouse
That is all for now. I'm sure I'll think of more or wanna change some of these.

Joan Jett - World Class Fad
That trademarked "Yow!" would sound really good in there.

Once Around the weekend - Scott Weiland My Daydream - Matthew Sweet Vampires & Failures - White Stripes I love these picks but I think a better song for Weiland to cover would be O.D. Blues

Inspired by Gravy... More Cigarettes - Marianne Faithful As an encore, I still like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles doing They're Blind ;D I think most of your picks are hilarious but I'm not sure if any of it would sound good except for Marianne Faithful singing More Cigarettes. I actually think she would sound great singing this. I can actually hear her singing it.

Zook can confirm but I believe the Sting thing is the rumor about his tantric studies enabling him to have sex for hours at a time, hence the irony of "Can't Hardly Wait."
Hopefully I'm right, I'm going to look like quite the dirtbag if there's a more innocent explanation.

I don't know any rumors about Sting, but I was with Monkey, only I thought Gorden may have a problem with being pre-mature, hence CHW...

paul's stuff - angel's walk - matthew ryan black eyed susan - tom waits world class fad - tommy stinson/figgs knockin' on mine - foo fighters no place for you - mike ness mas stuff - androgynous - tori amos answering machine - bruce springsteen color me impressed - libertines within your reach - josh rouse kids don't follow - broadcast oblivion can't hardly wait (ptmm version) - rocket from the crypt I know you were serious because your choices are great! It seems like you actually thought about how it would sound and I appreciate that. I appreciate the humor too but it was starting to get old because I'd much rather read responses like yours. My favorite "scooter" picks are: Josh Rouse - Within Your Reach (good call), Bruce Springsteen - Answering Machine (I'd love to hear that!), The Libertines - Color Me Impressed (I love this band and I think they could do great versions of any number of Mats songs) Oh, Tom Waits doing Black Eyed Susan would also kick ass. I like the way you think Scooter.
