Does this sound vaguely like "Fields of Gold" by Sting?? Not a sting fan, but knew this song sounded like something I've heard before....

I hear Unsatisfied mixed with Swing'n Party in the beginning... some "These are the Days" and a touch of "Meet me Down the Alley" in the build, but not quite.
Like the lines "Between Now and Here"... "Everywhere and Nowhere".... now I see the Letterman jacket reference.

I hear Unsatisfied a lot in this song... Yea..that's sorta what I hear. Some of the Unsatisfied chord structure over a less interesting lyrical idea...No wonder the band rejected it. CF

When he started the song, the 2nd chord is the same and played the same as 'Unsatisfied'. At the show, as soon as he started, 'Unsatisfied' was the first thing I thought of. The chorus is different, but the guts (rhythm, tempo and some chords) of the song are played very similar to 'Unsatisfied'. Too bad it was thought of as too spiritual, it would have been great to have that recorded in a studio. Maybe it's out there somewhere on some studio shelf.

CF At this point, it sounds like Paul would find almost any old lyrical idea more interesting than "I'm so ... I'm so ..."
