.great show by the way, beat NYC #2 by a smigin...(sorry Kathy)... Oh well, I guess I'll just have to settle for the private encore I attended in Memphis ;D

Having seen both, nYc nite 2 still edges out Philly if only for the 2nd encore and the fans refusing to stop shouting, clapping, screaming until they came back for one more. Philly had only the 1-song encore, and I thought the crowd deserved a little more because they were giving it all for Paul and the band, but that is only a minor quibble to an otherwise fantastic show.

Im counting mr.rabbit on its own in Philly. I think the encore reasoning isnt valid, Philly was intense and tight. Plus, the song seletion was one of the best on the tour. The one song encore was a result of PW ripping out 7-8 burners in a row.

The one song encore was a result of PW ripping out 7-8 burners in a row. That's exactly how I felt about it. You play a set like that, and you don't need to do encores. Hell, I wouldn't have had the energy to do any after rocking that hard. I sorta recall this old show-biz adage about leaving 'em wanting more, too.
