Wow. This is my second show, Memphis 1st, and I can't imagine him being any better than Kentucky. Memphis was great because you didn't know what was going to happen...and that's what I expected! Kentucky was like seeing how Paul would show up for a rock & roll job interview. Looked great, played like an absolute professional and came out for the meet and great like a perfect gentleman. I still can't believe it. OH and great people! Derrick & Carrie, Suzie & Steve, and the rest...
And my wife kissed him; he was so nice to her. She's such a HOOT! More later... (Hey Derrick PM me).

;D Pline, it was a pleasure meeting you. Carrie and I really enjoyed the show and meeting so many nice people. At the Memphis show, we were rookies and didn't know about hanging out for the bus thing. Well, it really paid off this time. We got to meet Paul, get our shirts autographed.... and best part....Carrie went up to him at the end....when girls were (apparently) kissing him on the cheek. So, she asked him if she could and he kissed her on the lips (by the Bus)!!!! It was priceless....if anyone has a pic of that, please post! I'll post some pics later. Sowbug P.S. Who's going to Nashville?

"Please please please please please please please please please please please let them play Little Mascara in Detroit. "
'Little Mascara' is played everytime.. Has anybody noticed the Michael Bland cpntribution to this song? He seems to have slowed the tempo more than previous drummers.. He kinda reigns it in a little bit.

My husband and I had seen Drive By Truckers in Memphis a couple of weeks ago, after seeing PW's show in Memphis. (We're from Memphis) We thought Drive By Truckers had put on a pretty fast paced show, but compared to Paul in Louisville, they were standing still. I can't stop hearing that fine fine music. This was the best show I've ever seen. .
Hey, rock and rollin' librarian Michelle from Memphis, are you at East Shelby?

Marz Wife and I went to see DBT a few weeks ago too, and left early, which I almost never do. On the way to the car I told my wife I must be spoiled from catching the PW & HOF band.

CF Yeah, I noticed, but with my luck it would get skipped just that one night so I feel it necessary to beg the gods to have mercy on me. Reading all of these posts is causing me to re-evaluate my life. Next time PW tours, I'm packing up the van and following him around like an aforementioned Westerhead. Not in a position to do it now, but in a year or two... Lots of room in the van for anyone else who wants to come along!

I saw Paul last year when he played here at the Brown Theater for his little mini show but this was my first full Westerberg concert and man was it a good one!!! I took some pictures of varying quality and thought I'd share. www.rhettsplace.net/paul Just can't wait for Thursday night in Cinci now. I only brought my digital camera to this show since I was attending it with wife and friends but I'll be going solo to the Cinci show so I might bring along my video camera. Who knows....... Oh yeah, in case any of you thought you saw some members of John Mellencamp's (who was playing Freedom Hall the next night) band or 60's pop star Donovan at the show you were right. My buddy does Mellencamp's website and fan club and was hanging out with them at various times before/after the show. Just a fun little bit of trivia.

www.kodakgallery.com/BrowsePhotos.jsp?showSlide=true&Uc=132a4zme.ny5ujmi&Uy=-pj00k5&Ux=1Okay, I just tried to share a Ofoto (now its Kodak) shared photo album from the show. Some good pics. I took some, there were some random shots by others with my camera, and another fan shared some with me. I particularly like the one that he took of Paul when he was back-lit in blue. And of course, can't beat the one of Paul, Carrie and me! It was a blast meeting all of yall. Hope to see you again, someday! Take care, Sowbug
