okay--i know for a fact that both nights 1 and 2 were recorded off the board, i saw the sound guys taking cd-r's from the board as i walked out both nights...okay now it is up to kathy (with her connections) and mister michaelB (who visits here, we now know), to push for these to get out for our ever waiting ears>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I have some pretty jealous friends (and one extremely jealous friend) that would love to hear those. I didn't see him Friday night, so I would like to hear that ofcourse. Plus, Tim and I sure wouldn't mind hearing Saturday night again.
Can't wait!

speaking of officially releasing it, I thought I read somewhere that the Pixies, on their reunion tour, were recording the shows and then selling them right after the concert ended. now i don't know if they meant it was PHYSICALLY sold right then and there or if you had to pay up front and then put your name on a mailing list or what.

It's true about the Pixies shows. They would sell them 20 min after the show ended.

I would've gladly paid for discs of the Pantage shows...if the proceeds went to Paul and the band, of course. Or would that be too commercial?

This would be very cool-especially for those could not make the trip to MPLS ;D
The Pixies discs are selling at $25 for a 2 disc set. They're selling like hotcakes too.

I'd glad pay for "official" copies too though.

"I got an idea, gonna make alot of money. Gonna knock it right out!
What if Paul took the soundboard recordings of each night and marketed them through this website? Little Johnny wants to go to college!
Sign me up for the box set.

Add one more voice to the clamour. Enough voices and we might see this in our lifetimes. Come in Paul. Come in Vagrant.

yeah, i'd happily pay for the soundboard CDs too if Paul decided to sell 'em via the Vagrant website and he and the band got a decent cut from it.
thanks for backing me up on the Pixies thing. i couldn't remember where i read that they were selling the CDs right after their concert, i'm glad to have confirmation on that news item and that i didn't just dream that up!

I damn near took a flight out there for the Sunday show. It's going to be one of those things I wish I would have done later in life. But family duty called. So hell yeah I'd pay $20 a piece for a copy of each show. The box set would be a killer idea.
I hope he does tour and I hope he does hit Denver. But I'm prepared to fly out anywhere west if he doesn't swing by here.

Is this Boxset talk pure speculation ? its driving me crazy, I would love to have a cleaned up official live release to add to the burgeoning collection. I have no problem throwing some dollars in to PDubs pocket if the release is worth it.
