because as someone else pointed out, you don't rehearse a band, and not commit to at least a few dates to pay the cats.
it will go through memphis, and i will visit there for the first time.

Well all I can say is I certainly hope so. I'm in desperate need for some road trips. I only wish I could go see every show he plays.

I would even suffer the pain of going to LA if that is as close as he gets. If Ten Pin Management is reading this...two words "Belly Up". www.bellyup.com

You sure? I moved here in September of 93 and he was suppose to play the Spreckels theater, but it was cancelled when he hurt his back.
Ah, maybe he played here earlier in the year when I wasn't here yet. I believe it would have been to 14 Songs tour? Saw him in Providence before moving out here.

I have a friend who books shows in Lawrence and Kansas City, and they turned down an offer for a show. They felt that it cost too much. No more details.

what paul's said in some interviews is that he wants to hit the places he didn't get a chance to get to in 2002 (west/southwest) and maybe even go back to europe. But never say never...

C'mon, Kathy, please give us a little of what you learned about a tour. You must have some idea of the plan. We will not tell anyone, and it can be just a secret here on the board.

See above for what I know about the tour, I swear, believe me if I had any inside info/influence, that tour would be hitting the East Coast! Really, what I have heard is the same thing that's been said in interviews - possibly West Coast, Southwest, potentially more European dates. And the living room concert at my house in February <and then she woke up>

Living Room concert...that would be the coolest eh? My wife and I hosted Pat DiNizio from the Smithereens last year at our home. Other than the birth of our kids, that event was the coolest thing we've ever done!!!!!

Other than the birth of our kids, that event was the coolest thing we've ever done!!!!! ha! cool! i spoke with pat dinizio a number of times in fall 1998 or 1999 about doing a show at my house. he was ready to do a backyard show, but our schedules didn't mesh. he was in the middle of his "coast to coast living room tour", and didn't have a mn date at the time. wonder where he played....

I know we are getting a bit off subject here but I could carry on here forever about hosting a living room show with the likes of Pat DiNizio from the Smithereens. I'll just say this. Highlights included 2 solid sets of music...basically anything we wanted to hear, a 1:30 am pasta fest! A jam session inlcuding myself on guitar and vocals on the last few songs and the fact that my wife and I woke up and sat at the breakfast table with the guy and talked about everything from a recent show he did with Spingsteen to the pictures on our kitchen walls! I got my moneys worth and then some...and a friendship to boot. Over a year and a half later and we still stay in contact! Westerberg is not the people person Pat is...but if he was...wouldnt it be cool to host LRC with him? here are a few of the many pics from our show... www.geocities.com/spottrax/DiNizio_pictures.htmlor scroll down to the bottom of this page for a set list etc... mypeoplepc.com/members/stmartin/scottmartin/id2.html

It's been almost a month with no word.
Anyone want to change their "yes" vote?

It's been almost a month with no word. Anyone want to change their "yes" vote? Hey! its the holidays! My imaginary voice in my head is thinking he's getting set for a Jan, Feb schedule. He also thinks it would be a good idea to do an unannounced warmup show at 1st Ave. He also says to me it would be a good idea just to do some quick in-and-outs around the country with a week or so break between them. He also says I should stock up on Little Debbie Nutty Bars because they might raise the price again. And not just the regular supermarket boxes, he's talking the Sam's Club Jumbo boxes - now with more peanut butter!
