Well, one of them at least:
From Chris Riemenschneider in the Star-Tribune:
Westerberg's band is still forming, but it already has a name -- the Painkillers -- and a drummer, ex-Prince and new Soul Asylum rhythm man Michael Bland. They are supporting the singer's new CD, "Folker."

This isn't Michael's first time with Paul...he did a few of the Eventually shows...including the one I saw in Omaha.
Didn't he also do Letterman?

Micheal Bland was a given.
The rest will be interesting.
Or not.
We'll see...

I don't want to spoil the surprise, but it's rumored that William Hung is going to duet with Paul on "Born For Me."

Looking at this guy's resume, can we assume that we'll hear a lot of material from Dead Man Shake?

You should also check out Kevin's old band, The Revelators -- on "Blackie Ford's Revenge", they have a great great song called "Straight Up Love".

My memory's fuzzy but I seem to remember Kevin being in two bands prior to The Revelators. I think he played guitar for a time in Rhea Valentine and there was another band whose name I can't recall but it included an attractive cello player. Kevin seemed a bit out of place in these bands, like he wanted to rock out more than rest of the band did. He should be a good fit for Paul.
Kevin and Paul go back a long ways, I've got a 'Mats boot from First Ave. in January 1986 where Paul says, "I'd like to thank Kevin Bowe for loaning me this groovy guitar."

So when's the mystery Painkillers bass player going to be announced? Something's telling me it's going to be Jimmy Anton again...
