Over at the vagrant site it says Paul is going to be playing a show in London England at Scala. I believe the date was 10-17... something like that.

October 19. Great for you Brits but I'm going to be one pissed SOB if he neglects the mid-west USA while jetting to merry ole england.

10-19-04 Hmmmm....one must assume that if he's traveling overseas for an appearance, that state-side dates (however many that may be) will ensue. Let's keep them fingy's crossed!

OH MY GAWD!!! Tell me I ain't dreaming this please!!
Well, nothing on the Ticketmaster, Ticketweb or See sites yet. And phone calls to all these places came up with zilch.
Me: 'Do you have tickets to Paul Westerberg'?
Operator: 'Paul who'?
Not sure I can take such elation followed by complete frustration . Anyone else been able to track down anywhere actually selling the damn tickets?
The Scala is a nice venue. Small, intimate and well located in terms of transport links etc. But who cares about precise venues when PAUL IS COMING TO LONDON!!!
I think I'll go and pass out now.

Hey Suicaine. Exactly the same response that i am getting. All the regular ticket agencies dont seem to have a clue, Firstly who Paul is (sad people) or any gig on Oct 19. Guess will have to keep bugging them over the next few days or untill something is officially announced.
Cheers Kevin

Its great that Westerberg is coming to the UK, but i live in central Scotland so its not great for me. Maybe more gigs will be added in places like Manchester and Glasgow etc......i hope so anyway! I've got a feeling they will be breaking out the champagne in the Uncut office right now!

Oh well, I guess I just have to sit tight until tickets go on sale. I'm going to have to go and have a glass of wine though to calm me down - I've been absolutely hyper since reading the news this morning. I mean, yesterday I get myself an advance promo of the new American Music Club album and today the news that Paul is coming to London!! All too much for my little suicaine heart to take.
Goes without saying, will be good to meet up with fellow UK members of the board on the night.
And I assume this means that - unlike CFMT/DMS - that Folker will get an official UK release (albeit after the US launch)?

Kevin,
Look forward to seeing you too! Never has two months seemed so long. Just this morning, before I heard the news, I was thinking that Paul would never make it to these shores again. And then, BANG!
I think its fair to say that, tonight, London is one big HAPPY TOWN! I still can't come down from the buzz.

Yay for Patrick, deadelvis, Jeremy and the other UK'ers :) /me checking rates for flights to London Yay for us! Fantastic gold-medal-and-olive-leaf-crown news indeed Kathy! I was talking to Eddie (deadelvis) last night and we can hardly believe it! What with Tommy back over here too with Jesse Malin, its like busses, no Replacements for a decade then two come along at once! Safe to say I will be watching the ticket situation like a hawk! The Scala (used to be a cinema, hence the name) sells tickets through www.ticketweb.co.uk so I will check daily, in fact, most probably hourly! Im not sure of the capacity, but its not a big place so it'll be interesting to see how quick the tickets go. Uncut must have created a fair amount of curiousity at the very least, so I think it'll sell out. I think we should all put MWT stickers on our foreheads so we can recognise each other that night! Folker is due for a UK release in October, I read somewhere, which would tie in with the visit. Keep an eye on things like Phil Jupitus on 6 music, and Jools of course, at that time as I guess Paul will be cropping up in such places. BTW isnt it just typical of Paul when everyone is expecting a select few US dates, to announce a date in another country! Jeezus, hes an awkward sod! Still in shock! Patrick ===== Think you're the only Replacements fan in the UK/Ireland? You're wrong! Come and join the other three of us on the beerforbreakfast yahoo group (colonials also welcome). Discussion and news on the Mats/Paul/Tommy plus any band that even looks like they've considered covering 'Cant Hardly Wait'. its like busses, no Replacements for a decade then two come along at once! Reminds me of a Top Ten list in one of the British music mags, topic: songs about buses (including Kiss Me). The headline was something like: "Typical! No songs about buses and then ten come along"

i have been checking for tickets every hour which is probably a waste of my time, but can't stand to leave it any longer. says on ticketweb that scala only holds 700 which means only 700 tickets! there are surely more than 700 paul fans...

I think the London date is going to be the only date in the UK. If I hear differently, I'll let you know.
