just thought i'd share my take on this one. the song starts with E. not a regular E but a second position one. here are the chords to the song. you'll have to listen for the strumming pattern cause a. i'm too damn lazy to write it out and b. it would be pretty confusing with the sweet sound of tom petty coming from my pc.

hey bhelm,

thanks for the more accurate "the way Paul plays it" version. i'm terrible at transcribing or tabbing things out. i figured a simple version for nowwesayitoutloud's son ought to suffice. no need to confuse and frustrate the boy w/ Paul's more complicated stuff. I figure he'll find out on his own how frustrating it is once he gets better at the guitar and wants to tackle "Answering Machine" !
